Do you check your stats and payments?
 

May sounds like an obvious/newbie question...

But I learnt something new today regarding CCBill affiliate programs.

Do you check your 'Transaction (Affiliate)' reports against your 'Check Amount' reports to ensure the commission it says you've generated is actually paid to you?

Only noticed it as a merchant has been pocketing all sales without having to pay out affiliate commission as they are not leaving enough funds on their account to pay affiliates.

I won't name the program that is not paying affiliates at this stage as he has stated he will get it sorted so will give it a month to see if the commission tis paid, this is more of a heads up to other affiliates to check both the above reports above against each other to ensure you are actually getting paid for the commission you're generating.

Never, I hold true to the honor system, I just wait to see what people send me and figure it must be right, no one on the internet would ever cheat me.

Unfortunately the amount you receive is your "real" payout, stats are only a way to anticipate that.

It does help to make sure it all squares up so you don't end up providing free service for anyone unintentionally.
