look who's scared of Trump now: Hillary Clinton

and she's taking the exact strategy against him i mentioned here previously, denounce the hyperbole while embracing the core message:

"Until Monday, when Donald J. Trump proposed a ban on Muslims entering the United States, Hillary Clinton could hardly keep herself from laughing at the mention of his name. “I’m sorry, I can’t help it,” she told ABC News on Sunday, letting out a giggle that made advisers squirm.

She is no longer laughing.

At a town hall here on Wednesday, Mrs. Clinton delivered her most damning, direct criticism of Mr. Trump, saying that he traffics “in prejudice and paranoia,” and that his Muslim proposal was “not only shameful, it’s dangerous.”

But Mrs. Clinton also strove to recognize something stirring in the electorate that Mr. Trump had clearly tapped into.

“It’s O.K., it’s O.K. to be afraid,” she said. “When bad things happen, it does cause anxiety and fear,” she added. “But then you pull yourself together and, especially, if you want to be a leader of our country, and you say: ‘O.K., what are we going to do about it? How are we going to be prepared?’”

I can't figure out who all the people are that the media claim are "afraid"?

Are any of you guys running around all day "scared"? I'm going out tonight partying...nobody is "afraid". I was at The MGM Grand yesterday and it was packed with cowboys and girls in town for the NFR Rodeo event here. They were all drinking and gambling and having a great time.

The MEDIA are the ones talking about "fear". As usual, they are trying to set the "tone" for the country.

In my mind Trump isn't tapping into "fear".

He's tapping into people who are sick and tired of all this shit.

Saying they are in "fear" or "scared" is ridiculous.
It would be like saying that if a 90 pound 5'8" guy (ISIS) kept harassing a 6'2" 220 pound guy (the U.S.)...that when they big guy decided he had enough of it, he's somehow "scared"?

If ANYBODY reading this is "afraid" please post. If anyone here knows anyone who is "afraid" please post it.
Not "stories" of people afraid.

The media is so full of shit.

And now this morning, the Republican Party began committing suicide.

The news is reporting about the secret meetings with Bush's team and the RNC to have a "brokered" convention to take away the nomination from Trump and disregard the voters.

Wow.

Now I know why every time that Bush is asked if he would support the nominee if it were Trump, he looked confidently at the camera and said: "The Republican nominee will NOT be Donald Trump".

I guess he knew the fix was in from the start. He was the "chosen" one.

The Republicans are fucking up big time. They should be backing their front runner 100%.

Say hello to President Hillary.

i'm the one that chose the word afraid and i meant it. not sure if you're paying attention but dems/libs exclaim Trump is a "joke" i.e not a worthy adversary. the race for POTUS is a RACE, a competition. the fact that Hillary is seriously addressing Trump means she's realized she needs to be concerned about him winning and her losing, consequently, that fear (being afraid of losing) is why she is now no longer laughing at Trump as a joke.

Robbie 12-11-2015 11:04 AM

Sorry, I wasn't referring to what you said about Clinton. I was referring to what she said about people being afraid of Muslims and the media constantly saying that Trump is playing off of everyone's fear.
My observation is that people aren't afraid, they are fed up.

oh, i see now, sorry. but, fear of terrorism has shot to the #1 issue of this race. it was currently ~3%, at the bottom, i'll try and dig up the article, read it earlier

dyna mo 12-11-2015 11:10 AM

here it is

In the aftermath of attacks by Islamic extremists in Paris and in San Bernardino, Calif., a plurality of the public views the threat of terrorism as the top issue facing the country. A month ago, only 4 percent of Americans said terrorism was the most important problem; now, 19 percent say it is, above any other issue.

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/12/11/us...-cbs-poll.html

i'm serious when i say that if there's another terrorist attack here while Trump is in the running, he's the next POTUS.

I agree and as Isis continues to grow and the Obama Nation continues to ignore them with their 65 nation coalition, that's really only 20 and Canada is pulling their support, we will have more terrorist attacks

sadly, BO has put America in a no-win sitch against isil. we can't destroy them without occupying SYria/Iraq, which will just create more isils, but we can't ignore them because they are attacking US.

the only chance the USA and the West has is to empower sunni arabs in those regions, and have them take back their own territories.

mineistaken 12-11-2015 11:21 AM

She is a traitor to US by saying that she welcomes illegals (=criminals).

dyna mo 12-11-2015 11:28 AM

Republicans expressed confidence in Mr. Trump’s ability to confront terrorism: Seven in 10 voters who said they were likely to vote in a Republican primary said he was well equipped to respond to the threat, with four in 10 “very confident” he could handle terrorism. Only Senator Ted Cruz of Texas comes close to those numbers.

“He’ll keep a sharp eye on those Muslims,” Bettina Norden, 60, a farmer in Springfield, Ore., said in a follow-up interview. “He’ll keep the Patriot Act together. He’ll watch immigration. Stop the Muslims from immigrating.”

Calling a spade a spade is being afraid? Give me a break, Trump has like a third of the Republican support. He can't even get half of the Republican party to support him. He's not gonna come close to the support he needs to win the presidential election.

When he looses horribly, you guys will whine and claim it was because of the evil liberal media..

Here is how I see it. It isn't fear in a traditional sense meaning there aren't very many people out there who are afraid to go to the mall or who might not be going to a movie because they are afraid of something happening. However, there is a deeper seeded fear. If a person wants to block any and all Muslims from coming into the US they are afraid of something, maybe they are afraid that one of them might be a terrorist or that they are going to recruit people here to their cause. People fear that immigrants might take their jobs or over run their cities etc.

There is plenty of fear out there, but its just not the hysterical kind like we typically would see. All we need to do is look at how many guns were bought after the attack in San Bernadino to know that people are afraid.

They're so used to labeling everything as a "phobia", they've forgotten what real fear actually is.

Or maybe it's deliberate, to try and get the masses to lose their comprehension of what real fear is. An alternative psychology is needed, as well as an alternative media :2 cents:

Even if Trump gets the nomination, he will not carry enough of the Republicans to win. At the very same time he will loose large demographics that he needs badly, mostly with the Hispanics, women, the disabled, and now the Muslims.

This will be a massive embarrassment for the Republican party.

Oddly enough if you do the math.. More Americans support Bernie than Trump. Trump has 30.6% of Republican Support. Bernie has 30.8% of Democrats support.

There are more registered Democrats in this country than Republicans that small percentage diffrence translates to millions more people.

Don't let TV coverage fool you, that doesn't equal actual support. Trump gets shit loads of TV air time because he's always saying stupid shit..

Hillary obviously leads Bernie so she has even more support..

Don't let stupid polls fool you into think Trump has a lot of support.. Those polls are only Republicans and Republicans make up around 30% of registered voters in this country. Democrats are 36% I think.

So yeah, my boy Bernie has more support than Trump but the media gives him no where near the same percentage of air time..

Trumps appeal trumps party affiliation with quite a few voters. Hillary figured that out. That's why she's appealing to them using trumps hyperbole.
