Yes - I know of that :-) I move to patreon - several months ago my free-to-see blog was hacked (it started to get the attention of the public, but also to hackers)and they started to post links to torrents and pirate software - I've read somewhere that this is not personal, it could be anyone in the world - they just seek for the weak link and push until they get what they need.
I tried with re-install of the WP /clean installation/. Bought some expensive plugins and tried to forbid new user registration - but at the end there was no use of that. Even after I made the new installation they still proceeded to try accessing the admin area.
Account was suspended because I didn't paid the hosting for the upcoming year.
"The domain can be added to your other account, and you can set a redirect on it. But first you have to settle the suspended account with our billing department. You can't ignore it just because you don't intent to renew it, you have invoices due, and they will keep stacking up until the account is cancelled. "
I just paid them for another year - to release my account from suspension - you can see it now live. I'm keeping the domain but it will re-direct to my patreon account - less headaches - and I will be able to concentrate mainly on drawings. Hopefully I will be able to get more fans and patrons - but I'm aware that it will take some time. |
