Has anyone used Cannabidiol (CBD)

If so does it work for chronic pain? Or is this just a scam? :helpme

Depends on the origin of the pain. If shit is BROKEN / TORN / ETC it helps but won't clear up the pain completely. I have muscle spasms in my back and the lotion I use is awesome.

Far from a scam but it's not the miracle people try to hype it up to be. At least from a topical standpoint.

CBD doesn't get you "high" so you can take a large does of it and be ok regardless of tolerance. That's where the real medical magic happens honestly.

A family member has fibromyalgia and swears by the stuff for that. She's taken just about every pain pill her doctor has thrown at her. At one check up, "off the record", her doctor told her there's a lot of good research coming out about the oils but she couldn't technically recommend it. She gave it a try and swears by it now. I've personally never tried it, though.

I saw this ad and you vape it so was wondering, because I have chronic pain through out my body my legs and lower back is the worse. I have RA DA and other shit :( pain med's don't last long then after awhile you have to go up in dose's grrr

We used to buy high CBD 420 when we could, but it is so difficult to find. Some dispensaries would say .1 was high CBD, but unless the CBD is higher than the THC, it doesn't matter; she liked it around 14-17.

Does it help with pain? I think it helped a little, depends on the pain.

I would not buy any oil online though; you just know it will be crap.

I tried a CBD strain with THC as well for an athletic injury during recovery. Did wonders for me. Not sure about chronic pain though.

I consider myself the biggest sceptic around. I was in a very bad car accident many years ago and have had back problems ever since. Every so often, the back locks up on me and it is debilitating. Usually it takes about 5 days before I can start walking after the back locks up.

A good friend gave me some high CBD tiger balm, and after about one minute of applying the oil, I was able to stand up and walk around. I have been using the balm ever since.

It does not cure, but it takes the pain away for a good amount of time. It is an alternative to taking pain medication that ends up damaging liver, kidney's or whatever else.

I swear by the stuff. :thumbsup

I hear people are having success with a combination of high cbd and low thc oil. And then there's active and inactive. Trial and error.

I say fuck it and just smoke it. Get the whole profile. Gorilla glue! :)

Now balms are a different thing, but I would recommend making it yourself. We have been doing that for several years now and the results are amazing.

When goodgirl first got here she was in a lot of pain, especially in her back. After we made balm (1oz coconut oil per 1 gm of high CBD weed). I would rub it all over her back and she could pinpoint the one small area I missed. It works great for headaches and cancerous moles too.

I drink my daily dose of canabidiol through raw hemp juice (industrial hemp)

my mom does it too and gf-s mom as well, they both claim they feel better since they started

I can't say anything for myself since I don't suffer from anything chronic so dunno...

The more research available the more it is proven as one of the most effective and least toxic options out there for chronic pain. While it may not be as powerful as say any opioids it is not addicting either nor is it toxic to the liver like the various aspirin alternatives like ibuprofen etc.

From a sports medicine clinic full of MDs that recommend it now to their patients that have chronic pain due to sports injuries, to a bunch of NDs that prescribe it to cancer patients and others with serous pain management issues, to the many people I personally know that have had success with it for everything from chronic colitis to seizures, and more, I would say from firsthand experience it is overwhelmingly positive as a way to manage chronic pain.

Never mind that it has been part of the pharmacopoeia of pain management for close to 5000 years of human history...

There are strains that are high cbd like Charlotte's Web that are very low thc like Baddog recommends. There does seem to be a harmonic relationship to the way that thc works in concert with cbd so pure cbd and zero thc may be less effective than something with at least some thc. :2 cents:

I grew some CBD strains (but it contains also some THC) this year, so I can have a better sleep, since THC strains are waking me up and sometimes I dont like to be stoned at alll. But still didnt managed to smoke it, but its definately on my list things to do in this year :-)
I hope to write about it more...

OH man thanks, see I hate the feeling of a weed high. I hate having to eat and the pass out. Yes when I ate the weed it helped with my pain 90% to 100% but was that because I was high? *shrugs* So if I can find something like this without the full body high I would get off the narc's I have to have just to get up out of bed. My pain is so freaking bad that I stopped taking all my narc's for 3 weeks it was really bad the withdraws were like nothing I have ever had but I could NOT get out of bed for 3 months 3 fucking months.

So the end of month 3 I started taking my pills again but at a lower dose,, found out that my doctor the fucking wacko Dr. Walingford Hampton Va was over dosing me.

What I was on, 180 mgs of morphine, 120 mgs of hydrocodine aka vic. and 30 mgs of oxycotin. When I got off my pills I went to a rehab due to my heart problems. The doctors all said how the hell did you even walk? They don't give that much pain meds to dying cancer pt.

Long story short. Found out that many pain pills was causing more pain then helping. After 8 years on them and the last 4 years on that high of a dose. *shrugs* It sucks and now I never ever want to get back that high on pain pills I only take 45 mgs of oxy's a day 1 30 mgs in the am, then 15 mgs mid day plus ONLY 20 mgs of vic for break through pain.

I WANT OFF ALL narc's I am and have been looking online for anything I can find that will at least take the edge off the pain I deal with. *shrugs* Now ya know my struggles and with my cancer and 3 heart attacks it is NOT easy thing to find new ways because of my past and present health problems.

Damn, dude... Same story here. Also a very bad car accident. I live in The Netherlands (don't know where you from) but it really helps me with the pain. I can get the stuff very easy and I'm really glad I can...
