I bought some in October, and we've been letting most of our BTC payments sit there. It levelled out after taking a big dip on Nov 10th but has been creeping back up ever since. Awesome.

how easy are they to sell when you want to tho? how fast can you sell $1,000 dollars worth or even $10,000 worth?

What you want to do is be setup with a reputable company, such asCoinbase. (I used another site before this and was ripped off early in the game). Coinbase works like Paypal in that you setup your bank account with them. They do a small transaction to validate your account, and then you can buy and sell as you want. You are limited to $3000 at a time but I think this can be increased after a while. Receiving a BTC payment takes about 15 minutes. Selling BTC is the same as making a Paypal transfer, and the payment shows up in your bank account a few days later.

Of course you can buy all kinds of things with BTC, transfer funds to your computer or your phone, etc. Here in Montreal there are now ATM-style kiosks to exchange BTC for cash, but I haven't tried those yet.

As i said before, if you guys actually understood what bitcoin is you might be more willing to invest or use bitcoin...
