I think there is a TON of gonzo out there that isn't as sexy (IMOO) as classy porn with a bit of background story and costumes / decorum.

It's a bit of a stretch to say it vanished, I can name quite a few companies that keep creating this kind of content (Dorcel, DigitalPlayground,...)

I think the golden age of (online) porn was probably 2002 - 2010. That's when all the best scenes were made and when the best paysites came out. Most of the stuff I see today isn't even worth downloading.

I'd venture to guess those of us who started out in the late 90s - 2010 is when the viable revenues dwindled and evaporated...and our production budgets bottomed out.

And many independent producers simply ran out of creative gas. I remember my last few shoots just seemed like regurgitations of similiar stuff I'd shot a decade earlier.

When I was 16, a glimpse of stocking top was considered sexy. Today a girl getting the living daylights pounded out of her gets less reaction.

This images one man called "sexy" I call boring, they're posed, placid and no reality to them. Just another two models doing as they're told.

For me, there's the problem. It's just girls doing a job with guys doing a job and there's no hint of anything else. When the shoot is over everyone goes home. We're in the business of catering to as many as possible in a niche/style. Not finding individuals who think any pair of tits warrants sexy.

Having lived through the 50s and 60s 8mm, then VHS and - well you know the rest of the story... I would have to say that you cater to whom you want to sell to in today's market....from a WM viewpoint.

From the viewpoint of the surfer - if you are catering to people born in the 80s and up - they are trained from infancy to have stuff be "disposable". Which is why tubes and other mega free shit works so well.

If you are going after the older generation (and in most cases higher spenders) you work a little harder at scene setup, storyline, etc as that is what gets the repetitive dollars
