I usually prefer not to address faggots/trolls...but I know a number of people that do own one or more assault rifles. In fact I really find it not to be all of that uncommon. You are correct in thinking that many people...probably even the majority of people...do not really understand/know what an assault rifle actually is and do think that an AR15 or that all AK47's amongst many others are assault rifles...when in fact they are not.

The assault rifle version of an AK-47 will cost upwards of $15k, requires a $200 tax stamp, and a background check requiring fingerprints and more, and the transfer currently takes about 5 months from the time you pay for the weapon until you can take possession of it. Because it's a machine gun.

Assault Rifle is different from Assault Weapon.

I think around $5,000 and up for an AK47 assault rifle is not uncommon. You are correct about the legal requirements for ownership of any assault rifle.

I only have one cuerno de chivo with an extra mag. My friend Chewy made for me. Not an assault rifle cause he had no sear for full auto. So my Cuerno de Chivo only has hole for hammer and for trigger, but not for sear.
