An 83-year-old woman died Sunday, a day after police say three Irving brothers brutally attacked her for no apparent reason.

Thomas Perkins, 18; Edward Perkins, 19; and Jesse Perkins, 20, are all charged with aggravated assault, police said. Each was being held in the Irving City Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail on Saturday.

Officers were called about 4 p.m. to a home in the 1300 block of Boyd Drive, near State Highway 183 and Loop 12, where they found Dessie Hancock unconscious on the ground. She was taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital where she died about 9 p.m. Sunday.

Detectives determined the brothers had gone to the home looking for an acquaintance, police said. At some point, Hancock, who is a neighbor, showed up at the home to visit someone, police said.

Jesse Perkins punched, kicked and stomped Hancock before all three brothers fled, police said.

Jesse Perkins could face a murder charge and additional counts after Hancockâ??s death, police said. Detectives were investigating what roles Thomas Perkins and Edward Perkins played in the attack, and police said their charges could change, too.

Jesse Perkins has a criminal history in Dallas County. Court documents show he was arrested in September and charged with attacking a man with a broken beer bottle. He pleaded guilty to a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in October and was sentenced to four years probation and ordered to pay a $1,500 fine.
