That list is a joke, they show random countries (see the actual list I posted).
Also that/this list is from 2012 and US beats Canada in that one.

By the way you can notice that last are countries like Iraq, Syria, Saudi etc.

â??In states with a higher percentage of the population that belongs to a church, it is plausible that religious views and doctrine about suicide are well-known through sacred texts, theology or sermons, and adherents may be less likely to commit suicide,â?� Kposowa told UCR Today.

The 1st article also linked it mostly to gun owership but the states where it was the highest were also conservative.

It likely boils down to people with guns have a gun already and don't have to give it a second thought. Meanwhile someone that doesnâ??t have an easy out has to do a bit of planning. That planning likely gives them a chance for a second thought.
