SEO: It's Like Your Sites Don't Exist

I was checking stats today and noticed how some of my older sites have such tiny amounts of daily traffic it's as if they don't even exist! We're talking like 2 hits a day in some cases. LOL WTF?

Some sites have decent keywords in them like 'MILF' and 'Porn' and 'Amateurs'. They're all submited to and indexed by Google....just seems bizarre to me. Page Rank what, like 18,536?

Granted these sites are not updated (they are all 'Bonus' sites in my Network) and I do not send traffic to them but you would think SOMEONE would fucking stumble upon them once in a while, no?

Maybe not. I obviously know nothing about SEO. :pimp

I'll tell you a little cheap way that helped me a while back. VVVVV writes blogs on his blog network, and he will throw your link in a blog specific to your site. It's cheap - throw your sites a few blogs here and there and it will make a difference SEO wise.

I'm saying like 50 bucks a month probably gets you like 12 blogs.

Blogging is where it's at for SEO :2 cents:

It's funny you should mention that (and thank you!). I'm a writer by trade (not that anyone would know lol) and I do like ZERO with it. Maybe it's because I knew zero when I started and am always learning this technical thing or that. But for 2016 I will start a Network blog (or blogs) and take advantage of one of the few things I actually do well. Ish. :)

Thanks again, I will contact VVVV. :thumbsup

Expecting seo traffic just because of few text lines and "milf" in the domain name is ludacris.

Kelli58 12-28-2015 07:35 PM

What the guy is basically telling you is that if you don't have back links then Google pretty much doesn't care if you exist.

Best-In-BC 12-28-2015 10:15 PM

A lot more to seo than most believe or do.

So true, but gotta start somewhere. If he gets results with the beginning, he can choose to learn more, or not.

Get on Twitter and use an aged and well themed account and start tweeting about some of those blog posts and watch what happens

I would highly recommend you hire xxxjay for some SEO consultation work if you're up for it. Worth every penny.

I hired him for local SEO consulting.

He knows his stuff.

The two of you should see if you can make a business arrangement.

Better to tweet oldest blogs or newest blogs, or irrelevant ?

Guess nevermind, I automatically tweet my new blogs. Maybe going back and re-tweeting last years blogs.

Another guy I am working with is LetterTwenty7 (think that's his name on here)

He did really great work! Invoices at the end of the month and charges 15.00 per blog between 500 characters and who knows how many characters, I think 1000. But they are your blogs, not on his own network.

Wrote me 2 great ones, ordering 10 more this week.

I have to get my blog act together first. LOL But thanks for the tips! What are you doing up at 1am on a school night? I thought only insane webmasters like me worked such late hours. :)

We are all insane webmasters, and it's not a school night. They don't go back til Jan 4th

It's the quietest time in my house, I thoroughly enjoy it!

let's talk in 2016 :2 cents::2 cents:

You not gonna get traffic just because your domain has "milf" in it...

Yeah I gotta work on my sites that's for sure, just in terms of SEO. Conversion-wise they're doing fabulous. Now (as always), I just need more traffic. :)

I looked at your sites, looks like none of them have Google Analytics? Is there a reason for this?

Unless you are Apple, which I'm sure Google would study those Analytics if they had the chance, there's no reason not to include it on your sites. Even if you don't look at them at all it would be a positive boost in most cases.

Unless your sites are utter garbage and you don't want Google to know the true user behavior on them. :)

That's a good idea actually (just adding Analytics). Right now I use Statcounter Pro. When I started seven years ago Google Analytics was relatively new (and I certainly did not understand code or stats back then) so I went with the easier Statcounter.

I will try adding Analytics. Thanks!! :)

Here's a quick tip for you, if you don't already know.

I'm sure you know how to dig through the source code on a page but a quicker way to get an idea behind the technologies on a site is to user a browser plugin called wappalyzer.

https://wappalyzer.com/download

Let's you know what technologies are on a site (or a very close approximation).

Yeah heard about this but (of course) never used it. LOL I can barely type out HTML code some days. :) But thanks for the link, I will play around with it (that's what she said).
