I think it's because boneless chicken wings are actually breasts, op. http://i.imgur.com/rKKiBhr.gif

Boneless wings suck. Gotta have all that delicious skin that comes on real wings.

HeadPimp 01-03-2016 08:24 PM

Because it has a higher chance of being real meat???

arock10 01-03-2016 08:26 PM

Because actual real chicken wings superior

baddog 01-03-2016 08:28 PM

Because wings have bones

dyna mo 01-03-2016 08:30 PM

Wait, what? Y'all can't be fucking serious.

Do you even fucking hot wings?

Axeman 01-03-2016 08:36 PM

I definitely prefer bone in wings over the boneless breasts wings.

baddog 01-03-2016 08:38 PM

Wings with bone means darker meat

I'm a big fan of chicken skin, I didn't even realize it's not on boneless hot wings.

dyna mo 01-03-2016 08:54 PM

Also: I love fried chicken wings. But hot wings boneless. Mmmmm

MiamiBoyz 01-03-2016 08:57 PM

It is very primal chewing flesh off animal bones.

We derive a primitive satisfaction when doing so. In fact, next to fucking, it is the most pleasurable activity a man can participate in.

The bigger the pile of bones left over the more successful we feel.

Vegetarians are fags and don't even get me started on vegans!

The boneless wings I've had have all been breaded. They'll do, but I prefer bone-in.

Fuck, I'm hungry now.

Hmm. Maybe I'll try bone in for the next batch. I order the uber spicy with ranch BTW. Chase it down with a chomp of some celery.

You sound like you ate wings the previous times. :1orglaugh
No, you ate chicken breast (or whatever) meat. So your post should sound:
Hmm. Maybe I'll try chicken wings for the next batch.

And your OP should sound:
Why people prefer chicken wings over some thing made from chicken breast (or whatever).

Phoenix 01-03-2016 09:52 PM

boneless chicken wings are the hotdogs of chicken

Fuck no I don't ! !!!! But the trade off with hot wings is pure white meat, at a good hot wings joint, and uber convenience over getting the skin, don't get me wrong the skin is the shit, but do I'd convee and white meat.

depends, if i'm at a buffalo wild wings or one of their many copycats i prefer the boneless. More so because their regular wings are tiny and not that great. I don't think anything competes with traditional buffalo style in the hottest (non internet concoction) sauce available though. I did grow up close to buffalo though so I'm sure i'm biased.

jimmycooper 01-04-2016 09:03 AM

whenever i get 'wings', which is rarely, I request all drums.

Rob 01-04-2016 09:09 AM

Because I'm not a fan of chicken nuggets drenched in hot sauce trying to pass themselves off as "wings". They're also way too soggy for my liking.

RebelR 01-04-2016 09:11 AM

To make boneless wings, you can always substitute boneless thighs. A local pub used to do that. Still get the darker meat and the crispy skin. Lets call the other boneless wings what they really are.. Chicken Fingers, which there is nothing wrong with and are ridiculously easy to make at home.

Yeah, what is up with that. Who decided that those nuggets should be called wings? Kind of ridiculous :)

Chicken thighs ftw... So delicious. I prefer wings bone in. Let's be real, boneless wings are just chicken fingers in sauce!! Ribless pork ribs are pretty tasty though, would still choose bone in any day though :D

Then it's a boneless thigh, not a wing. It's like ordering a pork chop and them giving you bacon instead. After you complain, they say, "Oh, that's just our boneless pork chop."

It's not the same. A wing is a wing is a wing...it's an actual park of a chicken. It can't be substituted with thigh meat and still called a wing.

Ajokki 01-04-2016 10:09 AM

Personally. I like to gnaw bones. I guess it's something primal.

I am pretty fanatical about my hotwings, I have spent years perfecting my recipe. So yeah boneless wings aren't wings. They are usually breast meat. Only wings taste like wings.

I feel bad sometimes about all those poor buffaloes who can't fly anymore, but it's not like you see them flying around anyway, so it's not like they are missing anything.

dyna mo 01-04-2016 10:21 AM

i'll order some bone in hot wings next time but i don't recall them being so much better than boneless to make up for the messy inconvenience of gnawing the meat off the bone.

besides, hot wings are all about the recipe and the sauce. i don't like to be distracted from the game, i want to dip my hot wing and mindlessly gnosh while zoning out on NFL.

Well that is understandable. Not all people like wings more than breasts or nuggets. So if you like breasts with egg and flour the same as wings - surely it makes sense to take that less messy option.

:thumbsup nice find.

i remember having a convo with my mom back when the price of chicken wings went through the roof, prior to hotwings, you couldn't give wings away, now they're a premium.

i don't think the boneless are prepared any differently than the bone-in ones. both use the same recipe.

Boneless wings are nothing more than chicken tenders cut down in size. It's breast meat and not wing meat.

If you're eating boneless, you're the one doing hot wings all wrong :winkwink:

It is not about recipe, it is about it being a DIFFERENT PART OF THE CHICKEN. As in one being NOT wing. Is that so difficult to grasp? :1orglaugh

gofuckyourself dumbfuck. i'm enjoying a carefree chat about food and you're trying to insult my intelligence over fucking chicken wings.

i already stated it is about the recipe and that i don't recall tasting that big of a difference to offset the pain in the ass mess.

fuckwad.

from an expert on chicken wings

"In further analyzing the chicken wing category, we see that about 80 percent of the incremental growth in chicken wings was due to strength seen among boneless chicken wings, which accounted for about 14 percent of chicken wing sales in 2012. Given the average price of boneless chicken wings is $7.99 versus $6.87 for regular chicken wings, this shift in consumer preferences should prove to be a further positive for restaurants selling chicken wings.â?
