Is that a person hanging from the power/telephone lines? At around the 50 second mark on the right side.

If the West takes Syria, they'll be able to put through a gas pipeline which means Europe will no longer buy from Russia :2 cents:

Assad turned down the request for the pipeline saying he was staying loyal his to ally Russia, soon after the so-called 'civil war' and Western plans for regime change began

Is the fight over a gas pipeline fuelling the worldâ??s bloodiest conflict?

Qatar can not supply gas to the whole EU. Also it's much easier to make a pipeline from Azerbaijan and through Turkey, which is under construction now.

Qatar has the third largest gas reserves, Russia supplies 25% of the gas consumed in the EU. The pipeline from Azerbaijan looks like part of the same Western objective to remove the EU from Russian dependence :2 cents:

Once the dependence goes, then Russia will hold less political power too, in Chess terms it's like the West taking Russia's queen :2 cents:

A political power? What for? As we say here, Russia has two allies. And those allies are army and fleet.

When a country depends on Russia for gas, that gives Russia an influence over them :2 cents:

klinton 02-03-2016 05:48 AM

and where will you get money from to buy vodka and kolbasa for your soldiers ?:winkwink::winkwink:

Russians are just shooting at everything that moves over there, so hopefully they hit the right guys.

Most things that move over there probably are ISIS, so there's that.

If it doesn't move, they move it and then hit.

As I said above: what for? Why would I need to have an influence over the EU? What kind of profit it will bring to me personally? I prefer to have no power over Spain but with Spanish jamon on the market shelves rather that power over Spain w/o jamon.

klinton 02-03-2016 09:07 AM

watch out for Spanish jamon ! most of it has lots of preservatives/ conservantes that are bad for your health. sometimes you have to search hard to find some decent sausage :-)

Yes, which is why most likely the drivers were not ISIS but rather normal people who were forced into that situation in one way or another. Likely by gun point or trying to get food for their family.

One thing is certain, it wasn't isis fighters driving oil trucks. They are still valid targets but let's not pretend that it was isis fighters in those trucks.

klinton 02-03-2016 09:21 AM

well, they got hit big as it goes with money lost...which sometimes also matters:winkwink:

All tasty things are usually unhealthy. So if I want to poison myself with Spanish jamon, I want to have such a choice.

they all know) military just want to eat. New military budgets. work. Imagine you have a new gadget (aircraft per billion) and fly nowhere, nowhere heroics and reduce your salary.
so the more fear the more milk yields :1orglaugh

Western politicians refuse to accept that only an Assad style leader can keep the country from imploding.

Earlier, they held back from interfering because of all the different factions fighting Assad and each other. Now they want to wipe out the only controlling element and replace it with what?

Another failure like Libya, Afganistan, Iraq, and others?

All for the sake of a pipeline. Which will have to be buried very deep or protected very well. That no nutter with a bomb on a truck can't blow the thing up?
