Fanduel has me confused at to what a white label is

Fanduel has me confused at to what a white label is.

Looking at the source, I notice my avatar is something similar to this.
https://s3.amazonaws.com/userfile.hubdub.com/2ddddk.jpg

When I go to hubdub.com. It states
Quote:

FanDuel is currently white labelled to several major newspaper partners including the New York Post and the Philadelphia Inquirer. Liquidity and revenues are shared between partner sites and Fanduel.com.
I thought a white label was the same site where multiple versions are made available to multiple affiliates.

If you go to fanduel.com/ admin/ you get a Django admin login. So it seems there would be only one version of that same site.

Thanks.

Here is my spam.

I have always defined a white label as being a custom (or perhaps not) front end developed for a specific affiliate. The affiliate basically hosts the tour for the site, but all the backend stuff is run by the main site.

Yea, That is a better definition. According to wikipedia, Hubdub doesn't exist anymore. Fanduel was probably meant to be a white label for one customer, But fanduel became too much of a monster. The Hubdub team dropped everything to become Fanduel.

Is that unusual to have the admin login panel open to all IPs on such a big site?

Yes, They should be safe as long as good password. Rest assured at least 100 bots trying to brute force it now.
