[SERIOUS Question] What's it like to be the has-beens of this industry? Like Boneprone and shit?
 

This is an honest question. What does it feel like to go from being on top to zero and have nothing? For instance, that Bonerprone guy. He would post pictures of him with pornstars on planes and shit and then his sites were completely demolished by tubes only for him to show up here with fake nicks (well, he always did).

What's it like to be penniless and useless after having something that people perceived to be so grand? Did you not invest your money? In Boneprones defense, he was a degenerate gambler.

But seriously? What does it feel like to become so irrelevant?

Does anybody here even have the clout to chime in? I can think of a few, but not too many.

Not quite penniless and useless though. For instance, I can't see myself spending enough time on a message board to get 20k posts and the money from selling my sig wouldn't be worth the time to me that it takes to get the deal done.

I know this thread made me remember all the fun and money that we made. I had no less than 10 different ways money was coming in and the worst one made 30K.
Yeah things change just like with any business.
When porn went to shit I bought an ecig store and another and another.
That was just like porn, People were buying anything and everything it didn't matter.
Now just like porn ecigs are all over and dirt cheap. So I sold all that shit too.

I was sensible enough to invest in pensions from the 70s. during the good times I sank more than normal in, so missing a few payments in the bad years made no difference. spread the load over different portfolios and was never in debt to any degree I couldn't pay at the end of the month. Besides a mortgage on my first house.

Bought in cash a modest house at a cut price, modest car, modest studio, never bought bro drinks and even today rarely spend money. We now have more in the bank than we did when the business closed. And no worries.

Which is the benefit of being a miser. A lesson learned hard, sticks.

Many of the so-called "has-beens" moved on to bigger and better things. The Adult biz had it's day in the sun but it's long past. Sure there is money in adult still but not like in the early 2000's.

Good marketers don't get stuck to a product or niche, they are always looking for the next thing. Since adult there have been so many more larger niches to beat up like diet or cannabis for example.
