Ted Cruz is a Natural Born Citizen...
|
John McCain was born in Panama. The Republicans can't find a decent American to run. I am guessing the big issue is who is willing to "deny global warming." You need someone who has to sell their soul at the first step and that is getting harder to find.

It's ok guys.. Jeez it's not like he's black no need to worry where he was born because he's all white so he's all right.. He can't even be a Muslim like Obama..
|
Yeah...but as for John Mccain, he was born in the Panama Canal zone, and at that time when he was born there, it was a US territory.
Calgary, where Ted Cruz was born, was never a US territory. |
He can call himself an American citizen, which is fine. But mainly he's a giant, gaping asshole.

In all honesty, the issue of whether Cruz is eligible to be President is still unsettled. No one can know for sure yet until the SCOTUS rules or Congress clarifies.
"The legal and constitutional issues around qualification for the presidency on grounds of US citizenship are “murky and unsettled”, according to the scholar cited by Donald Trump in his recent attacks on Ted Cruz." Harvard scholar: Ted Cruz's citizenship, eligibility for president ‘unsettled’ | US news | The Guardian |
So Cruz can be President but my son can't? Go fuck yourself.

If Donald Trump would highlight this instead of going on about yet another birther issue, he would shave a few points off of Cruz's popularity for sure. |
Setting aside all of the political noise....
We need to re-define the "natural born citizen" issue. I believe in order to be a natural born citizen you must be born in the United States, with no exceptions. If you are born outside of the United States to an American citizen, you can naturalized but you should not automatically be considered a natural born citizen. I also believe that being born within the United States should be a basic requirement for being President. I don't believe McCain should be eligible to be president. He was born on a United States military base in Panama. Ted Cruz also should not be eligible to be president - He was born in Canada. (It's stunning to me that a member of the United States Congress had dual citizen in another country!) This has nothing to do with politics for me, it's just plain common sense and should apply to all countries - In order to be a leader of a country, the very basic requirement should be having been born in the country. Hitler was born in Austria yet became the leader of Germany - This shouldn't be possible. In all fairness, I believe as the law stands right now Ted Cruz has the legal right to run for President and if he wins assume office. However, I believe our Constitution should be changed to make being born within US borders a basic requirement to be President. |

If Ted Cruz is the best the Republicans can come up with to stop Trump they are in for a serious beating, Either way their party will never be the same.... If they don't elect a president this term the party will fall apart as the rank and file republicans have been lied to so long that they are swarming to Trump.
Even the Koch brothers are withholding funds as they dont see a viable candidate. Would we be so bad off if the republican party dissolved into two or three different parties ? They havent done jack shit so I dont think so. |

It's time the US changes its policy on this. It's bullshit fodder for liberals and conservatives to argue about.
Don't vote for Ted Cruz because he's a fuckhead. Who gives a shit if he was born in Canada? Fuck. In 2003 people wanted to change the rules so Schwarzenegger could run. My thoughts? Change it. Move past this Real Ameircan / Fake American bullshit and move on. |
