the daily show

maybe 5 years ago i saw it once in a while and thought it was just a news satire show with some funny bits. I haven't seen it since then.

Now comedy central started airing it here, and now i noticed right away that it's just pure propaganda. This trevor noah guy is being used as a puppet because he's obviously extremely naive. The guy isn't even from there, which makes him even more perfect to mold and use.

The serious sad face of noah and silence of the audience when puppet in chief Obama shed a tear, followed by noah's hollywood style serious cringe worthy comment (coming from a so called comedian) was it for me. Comedy is out, propaganda is in.

I will bite without googling. Trevor Noah is some wronged non white dude "if Obama had a son" style?

And yes, media is brainwashing and social engineering mases through their machine, so I am sure you are correct on that show as well.

WHY would they hire a South African to replace Jon Stewart? Is he white or is he black, or a mix? They already have the black token spot covered with Larry Wilmore (who is ten times better than this clown Noah).

Every word he speaks so slowly it's like he can't read or English is his second language. I don't know which is worse, The Daily Show or The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Both absolutely suck balls now.

Dont think it has anything to do with skin color, i think they just hired him because he can spread the one dimensional agenda, because he is a foreigner who doesn't know the games. And it seems he just generally doesn't have the know how to ask himself what is really going on in the world (like people who still believe parties in politics matter)

Ferus 01-13-2016 05:36 AM

He is a puppet like the rest
MTV: USED to be about Music
News: USED to be about REAL news
SNL: USED to be funny
GFY: USED to have modorators

This will be a good thread for the usual group of misinformed conservative asswipes to circle jerk each other into their stupid mouths.

he's young and has JUST started with the show what were you expecting exactly? Jon Stewart didn't start off being full of opinions himself, it built up over time and was done with subtlety at all times. If he jumped in there doing that off the right off the bat everyone would just hate him and it would get cancelled.

Jon Stewart was great. After he left I had no interest in watching any more.

muthisdev 01-13-2016 12:38 PM

Looking forward to what Stewart will do on HBO.

This. New guy sucks balls and I can't watch him without feeling ill. Kind of like someone gave me the Clockwork Orange treatment.

I was skeptical at first, but watch the Daily Show every night. Trevor Noah is really funny, smart, and his timing is perfect. I can't imagine a better replacement for Jon Stewart, though I heard Amy Schemer was offered the job. I like her too.

I agree, and I think this was established by the OP.

Geeszuz, Archie Bunker, this isn't the 70's anymore. Larry Wilmore is hilarious, but he already has his own show.

His English sounds good to me and I don't think he speaks slowly at all.

You can't compare the shows. First, Daily Show has stuck to the same format. The show itself is the same, only the host is different.

Stephen Colbert "played a character" on "The Colbert Report", which is owned by Comedy Central. Stephen Colbert took over as host of "Late Night", which is a completely different show, with a completely different format, on a completely different network. It also starts 1 hour earlier than The Colbert Report.

I am not a big fan of Late Night either. I skip through the first monolog and get to the police or social commentary parts of the show now. I will watch more if I like the guests. Generally though I will agree with you here that Late Night just isn't that good. The jokes aren't biting enough, the fake energy feels fake, etc. And I completely hate the band, the shitty music they play, and the band leader for no reason except that he bores me to tears.

nico-t 01-13-2016 01:02 PM

the argument that he is just starting doesn't have anything to do with the fact that this show is spouting pure propaganda. Don't you guys who like the show see that?

I havent seen it in 5 years and watched it a couple of times now in this new form and in a few minutes i already saw its just propaganda. And mind you i did not have any prejudice about the show, i just wanted to have a laugh. It failed miserably.

BlackCrayon 01-13-2016 01:04 PM

to me, jon stewart is/was the daily show. without him, its no longer the daily show. they should of just done something else instead of having this other guy come in. it just seems like he doesn't deserve to be there. jon stewart didn't just pop up out of nowhere and land on the daily show, he had an extensive career before it. this guy...never heard of him, never seen him before.

PornAffiliate 01-13-2016 01:26 PM

JS was great until it became (i noticed it as) a propaganda show. Same with Colbert.

John Stewart has left a void that cannot be filled. I feel bad for the new guy because he's going to suck even if he does have any talent, because Stewart WAS The Daily Show.

Late Night TV on ABC / NBC / CBS is cookie cutter. They play it safe. They always do.

Comedy Central will always be edgier. Colbert kinda sold out. Sorry fans.
