Sergeant Demoted For Impaired Driving Conviction
St. Catharines Standard Tuesday, January 12, 2016 5:24:44 EST PM[/I] A Niagara Regional Police sergeant who educated youths on the dangers of drinking and driving has been stripped of her rank in wake of her criminal conviction for impaired driving last summer. Sgt. Cathy Edgecombe, 44, pleaded guilty Tuesday before a disciplinary tribunal to a Police Services Act charge of one count of discreditable conduct. The tribunal reduced her rank to first-class constable for 14 months. She had already lost her driverâ??s licence for one year and been fined $2,500 in criminal court. The base pay for a sergeant with Niagara Regional Police is $105,467. A first-class constable makes $92,514. Insp. Cindy White, who was acting as prosecutor for the internal disciplinary hearing, said a police officerâ??s good character is essential for public trust and the NRP holds its officers and supervisors to a higher standard of conduct. http://storage.stcatharinesstandard....=1452631473931 Full story |
I know a cop that drives around in his police cruiser off-duty while drinking. If you're one of his buddies, he'll even let you drive it while drinking with him.

Sheesh MiamiBoyz, aren't you a cocksucker? Why so much hostility towards a fellow homo? |
She initially pleaded not guilty to the criminal charges and fought it in court - and lost. During the trial, it was revealed her fellow cops drove her all around Niagara Region for several hours trying to sober her up before administering the breathalyzer at the station. And she STILL blew twice the legal limit.
The cops that attended the scene sent eyewitnesses away without taking their statements or getting contact information from them. Witnesses came forward on their own when they saw the story in the newspaper. During the accident, she even tried to move her vehicle with the motorcycle still under the SUV - trying to make the accident look less serious. And still she gets to keep her job as a cop after a slap on the wrist. Unfuckingbelievable. :disgust |
See ya later, GFY, I'm signing up for the Police Academy! ;)
