I know pictures is definitely more of a thing of the past but I am sure there is still a market..

Anyone make all or a bulk of their money selling pictures to end clients?

Not content producing and selling on here etc.

My TGPs are still strong

We have sites with about 55/45 split mostly videos but the guys spend as much time on the photos as they do the videos.

The reason I think is with a video, the Perfect pose or position is fleeting in a video and you may or may not catch that in a screen cap or pause. But with the photos, you can often find what you want and it s frozen in time and can be re jerked to until you want to see something else.

Pictures as adverts. Do they qualify?

Do you mean having your pics in a database and then create huge websites with optimized pictures to get long tail traffic?

I shoot a lot of pics.

If you "know" pictures are a thing of the past, then what is the point of this thread? I am guessing you are trying to gauge whether or not it is worth shooting content. I could be wrong though. I only assume because, that seems like a newb question and you are sporting a gmail email. I certainly mean no disrespect by that.

IMO, the days of newbs expecting to make any return thats worth the effort from pictures, is over.

I am talking about making money off actual pictures.

Not using pictures as a way to sell videos etc.

some clients still buy more pics than video and do well for the last 10 years - i guess they know what they do

Yes, I take pictures of things and sell them on eBay and sometimes even Amazon..

Yes, photos still have a market. I personally prefer them to video.

Yes, as an affiliate I mainly use pictures. I am still alive in 2016 but also struggling like everyone else.

We make our income from movie & photo sales on clip sites & from my own site.

Although, now looking to sell all of my old content non exclusive to webmasters :2 cents:
