Help me work out a commission structure for my sales team
Ok, so here is the deal.
We currently have a structure that is based on volume (money in) and conversion (number of sales). It pays from 4 to 6% depending on whether they reach none, reach one or reach both of these variables. However, we have decided that sales reps are too focused on volume and are missing out on a lot of smaller sales, which has really hurt conversion ratio across the board. Our accounts rank from 250 to 2.500 dollars (sometimes more). We are now trying to get sales reps focused on closing smaller accounts, especially those of $250. I have gone over a few different schemes but nothing seems to work how I want it. I'm willing to any suggestions. It can be a fixed commission for each sale, it can percentage, or a mix of both. Thanks in advance. |
20% of the initial sale. on the accounts of 250$, higher is 15%, 10% etc as it goes up. Get the 250$ customer to go up the next month/time, they get 5% more or 10% more.
Something along those lines. You have to play with the numbers as only you know what you are willing to split |
