I grew up in rural NJ and once you grow up snow just plain sucks. You can't get to work, you can't go out, your power goes out, and you have to spend all of your time shoveling what is really water.... This is why I'll never live where it snows.

Why? A snow is fun :) I'm not kidding. Right now we have a similar situation here in Moscow (an extremely snowy winter this year). Tons of snow and -15 °C right now... The only difference is that nobody makes a problem of that because... it's just a snow :)
