Why isn't my traffic converting?
Hi guys, I need your opinion on a few things. I have a relatively new cam site. Latin models and advertising for customers mainly in North America.
Last night, we had a two hour show with an "excellent" model in terms of look and show. During the show, I had a CPC banner ad running on Exoclick. The ad got more than 500+ clicks within those 2 hours. In that time I had a total of zero sign ups (which is free) and 0 conversion, guest to paying member. I find this very confusing as I have checked all of the boxes I can think ok * Landing page (client is taken directly to models live show) * Targeted advertising (geo, teen, amateur, latina, big tits) * Model is in the same vein as advertising media * One step sign up, email, username, password Given all of this I'm a bit confused as to what is going wrong. The only thing I can think of is my traffic? I am currently using RON Exoclick on a CPC basis and even without optimisation I would imagine that even if I was getting everything wrong, at least 1 of the 500 plus people that clicked the ad would of at the very least signed up. Believe me when I say the model was brilliant! https://twitter.com/latinasgolive01/status/691283219933720577 This is a link to the model in question Has anybody had experience with Exoclick and cam traffic? Shall I block all of these sites on Exoclick that are sending me clicks but 0 sign ups? What ad networks can you reccomend for cam traffic? Do I stick to banner ads or try pops for example? Any and all feedback will as always be greatly appreciated Thanks |
If you would like to explore some premium members area cam tabs hit me up.
You will find with any of the volume brokers that it takes a large budget and plenty of optimization to find a sweet spot. |
Mediabuying like that is a big hit and miss, believe me you can run through $5k and make hardly anything back.

If it will be that easy - all guys will do it :1orglaugh

Chris, Nicky and Sam, thank you for taking the time to reply : )

I'm going to be harsh, but its only because i am a dick.
Your site is horrible You won't be converting ppc traffic with it... ever. It's confusing, poorly laid out and unclear. It doesn't either look like a cam site or even make it clear that its about live video chat. Its a mess. It needs to be redesigned completely. You ask a person to register before they know anything about you and the and what it offers (i.e. you present them with costs with before demonstrating benefits). Further, the benefits have to outweigh the costs (real and perceived). Converting traffic is about one simple thing... overcoming customer anxiety and guiding them to a desired action. You created anxiety with a confusing site and compound that anxiety as they start to dig and try to understand what the hell is going on with your site. Not only do you do it in the wrong way and at the wrong time, when a person tries to click anything to see what they are registering, giving up their credit card and time for, there is no info, no chat page, no example, no free chat etc... just an image of the girl pops up which serves no purpose whatsover, communicates nothing and ads no clarity to the product or direction in the sales process. Anyone that tries to sell you traffic is a prick trying to hit sales goals or giving you affiliate links, not trying to help you. This is not an issue with traffic quality. Thats only one of 100 issues you have to understand and correct. It takes a lot of learning. A lot of testing. And it will take you a lot of money to do it and be profitable. This is very much worth thinking about.... It is often said that to be successful in adult PPC, it will cost you around $10,000.00 to get through the learning curve. It is a science. It is a complex science with a LOT of moving parts. That may or may not be true... BUT, i'd say as someone that has done both since 1998, that you definitely will not be profitable buying ads with cams and spend less than $10,000.00, It was easy, everyone would be doing it and not about 25 people buying 95% of adult ad broker traffic. |

Frankly, i hate seeing replies in threads like this. First, a person who never gets told "uhm, you really have a lot to learn", gets told "hit me up so i can sell you more fail".
Media buys are complex. Properly laying out a website is complex. Optimizing the conversion path is complex. There are many moving parts to all, |

Jokes aside sometimes you need some though love and he is delivering good points if you are willing to remove your ego from the equation and listen to the facts. Media buying is not easy and you need a lot more skills today that 10 years ago, that is why so many people are complaining that there is no money to be made in porn. |

You should have her cam feed on streamate, chaturbate, and a couple others.
You probably got 500+ clicks from justpicsplease site. Haven't checked your site but reply's suggest not good. Was there any surfer comments? |
All traffic brokers are pushing up to 90% fake bot banner and pop up/hit traffic.
Years ago when porn became free, traffic brokers profits all went to shit. The only way to survive is to start selling fake bot traffic. Sure, they sprinkle in some real hits to keep in compliance with the law and pesky webmasters, but they have loop holes. The best one is, "we can't control our traffic sources and if they are selling us bot traffic, notify us right away and we will do something about it." LOL That's the number 1 copy and paste legal response from most brokers. Don't believe me? Porn producers, actors, distributors, website owners are all going bust, so you think these online traffic brokers are selling real traffic? IF they had real traffic, and that traffic was making conversions, they wouldn't be selling it to begin with! They have sophisticated programs, the best programmers money can buy to steal and swindle webmasters because they know how desperate they are because their businesses are sinking. Everyday 100's of new adult sites hit the market and all screaming for traffic. That's the beauty of selling fake traffic. You don't get much repeat business, but there is always a new crop of webmasters thinking "my sites are great, I just need traffic" and they can't wait to whip out money for those fake hits... then they wonder why they don't have any sales? So sad. There is no state or federal regulation on these crooked ass traffic brokers and their programs are so intense, they can wipe out their data bases and alter stats at the press of a button to avoid audits and lawsuits. They can never be caught because they are way ahead of the game. They pat themselves on the back and create paid for alliances with major adult website blogs and forums. Some even give themselves awards to keep the public safe and cuddly. "Of course we don't sell fake traffic, we just won an award!" :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh Round and round it goes. It's the ultimate online scam. Save yourself a lot of headaches and money and create your own traffic. And after reading this, watch for the slew of non believers that will chime in with negative comments. But check their sigs, most are promoting traffic brokers as well. Good luck to you. |

In my opinion, north Americans & Canadians like British models, you could find a better income with British traffic, as most Brits love Latin girls :2 cents: |

Tube sites. Less surfers pay for porn now.

Dont get discouraged. Can u show us the lander? Sounds like your on the right track though.

Interesting posts TheSquealer, good to have meaningful stuff like that on GFY.
Always found media buying fascinating, I'd try my hand at it. Except that I don't feel comfortable promoting borderline scam offers. How I see it is that those are the only ones you could be profitable with against the other similar offers. (Cross-sell jungles, banging cards, dating sites with no women, poor products etc) Unless you actually own a big site of course, so you get to keep all profits. |
Only ad buys I see over and over are for cartoon sex games with free join that costs the surfer a min. Of $200 in first 3 days and then the rebilling love after.

If it's exo, juicy, plugrush, traffic junky, or traffic holder well, just ignore my request... but if you have a solid source, I'm all ears. (eyes) Thanks. :thumbsup |
You need to try to focus more on SEO , media buying can help but the real money maker traffic is SE traffic !
|
1. Your site sucks
2. See #1 |
It's not your site. It's the traffic you are buying.
All these crooked ass brokers are selling BOT traffic now. Exo, TrafficHolder, Plug Rush, Traffic Junky, et al, are all sellling 70 to 90% BOT traffic. It's an epidemic. The BOT programs don't just click on your banner, they emulate surfer behavior. Clicking on numerous links in your site as well as duration. It's going to continue to sky rocket out of control until the Fed's shut them all down. It's going to take some heavy hitting lawyers and money to do it, so until then, you are on your own. |
My .02
1) Based on the banner and pop-up add, your model is afraid to show her face. Tell her to get over that or find somebody else. You can't be a star in secret. Cam models are selling a relationship, not porn (porn is free, haven't you heard?)
2) 500 clicks is literally nothing. Based on your traffic sources you likely had 1 or 2 potential real customers in that 500 clicks, and that's if you are lucky. You need at least 10,000 clicks from real customers to evaluate organic cam traffic. 3) Cam conversions take time, months even. This is with tried and proven cam sites that are fully optimized and already making millions for others. Customers see her, follow her on twitter, get slowly more interested (or less, depending on the quality) and maybe, eventually one day their willpower weakens enough to pull out the credit card. Then, with the right stellar alignment the card goes through - and if you sacrifice an unblemished lamb on a leap year under the full moon while playing "baila la bamba" in Eb on a ukelele carved from a single piece of brazilian rosewood while standing on one foot it won't charge back. (last step might not be strictly necessary but can't hurt) 4) Have your model split cam and simulcast her show on MFC and Chaturbate so she can earn some real cash while you get your shit together and optimize your own sites and traffic sources, that way she will develop her skills and her following and get paid, and hopefully not get bored while you sort your noob issues. |

500 clicks :1orglaugh are not enough to make any decisions btw. |
