Why do they call them active shooters? If they're shooting, then it's safe to assume they're active. Is there such a thing as an inactive shooter? Like someone that just sits in a lawn chair sniping people? The media comes up with all these fancy buzzwords to make the news seem more interesting.

I went to best buy to watch cnn. Shots heard at navy medical center in the basement of a gym and barracks building.

More guns are clearly the solution.

Investigators have found "absolutely nothing" to substantiate a report that gunshots were fired in the basement of Naval Medical Center San Diego on Tuesday morning, Navy Capt. Curt Jones said.

However, authorities still are going though the building, and it will take a long time to finish their search, he said.

He said he'd characterize the person who made the report as "someone who thought they heard something and made reports."
