How to deal with Facebook? (Blocking and claims)
 

We are in the web cam business and have a webpage which is not the cam site but a blog with soft core content (articles , galleries etc. plus a section presenting the cam models we are featuring on the white Label cam site)

Now Facebook has blocked the linking to the blog. We have asked Facebook several times what the problem is, we have appealed through Facebook's help center forms a couple of weeks ago and explained that we feel we comply with Facebook's TOS. Well about this blocking I guess there is not so much to do about the linking since Facebook is a private network and can block whoever they wants. (ofc we could use redirects etc but the Facebook traffic is so marginal that it is not worth it)

What I would like to hear if anyone has experiences or ideas on how to manage is:

The blocking of the webpage and my Facebook activities are two different things. In a legal sense it is me, personally who is responsible for the Facebook page, and if we have violated the TOS on Facebook i believe they should punish me and suspend my account or what so ever.

So the point is:

The web pages are in a legal sense third parties and are not member of Facebook and Facebook claims following about the webpage(s)

1 When you share from the page the problem is "other Facebook users has flagged us for inappropriate content"

2 When you make a link, the issue is that the "link is unsafe"

3 When you click on an external sources posted of Facebook linking to the page the problem is "that Facebook believe that the page is malicious"

Especially number two and there are problematic.

Our site is NOT malicious in any way. And the problem is that by continue presenting the claim in public (that they believe our site is malicious) :mad:from a legal point of view we can claim they are damaging our reputation.

In other cases it is normal practice that you have the opportunity to notify someone if they flag or list you as being malicious, you can present evidence if needed, and they either withdraw their claim or present arguments for why they do not. Or in other word you cannot just continue accusing someone for something in public when you ought to know better

With Facebook it seems to be different (?) You can’t even be sure they read your messages in their fully automated “service” center where no one get any response

I find it hard to accept that just because you do not read your mail and ignore people then you can accuse anyone of everything you desire without any responsibility

Anyone has any experiences with how to deal with Facebook?

I lost many large fanpages on facebook and since then I am not using it to promote any of my sites. They are no adult friendly in any way. You should try twitter and tumblr instead.

Exactly. It's not worth the hassle. Facebook's for chastity only.

You are right when it comes to social media Twitter, Tumblr and Pinterest are what we use and never had any problems. If you are in adult business it is hard on Facebook and it is almost impossible to get organic traffic. Never the less what pisses me off with Facebook is their arrogance by ignoring everyone and any arguments. Plus that they stereotype everyone working with adult as being spammers or people with malicious webpages. I would respect them more for saying directly “we found pictures of cam models and link to a webcam site so we blocked the page” Instead of coming up with crap about they believe your site is malicious or unsafe.
