skyprivate.com

see more and more cam girls using it.

guess all they need is twitter and that site fuck mfc and the rest.

vending_machine 01-28-2016 12:11 PM

Because traffic comes to their twitter through magic?

ITraffic 01-28-2016 12:19 PM

because they have thousands of followers on social media?

vending_machine 01-28-2016 12:40 PM

Where do those followers come from? They clearly worked with a large cam platform first to get those.

So short term they will make more from the guy or guys they take to Skype, long term they will get much less customers and probably overall less take home earnings. Staying busy on cam and making money requires a lot of traffic.

Starting out as a fresh cam performer using twitter and Skype? Good luck with no visitors.

I think they act like a 3rd party for sites such as modelcentro and so on.

Plus a lot of models use them as an upsell on there free webcam sites. Even those who go on webcam on free sites ask the models if they do private shows on this platform.

So quickly the word spreads.

I girl who I know makes over Ł1000 a night doing this. She goes on the free webcam sites and gets people to pay for private shows on this platform.

ITraffic 01-28-2016 01:02 PM

you really think a cam girl cannot build a social media following on her own? lol.

Kenny B! 01-28-2016 02:30 PM

Alex has a great thing going over at skyprivate. He's a very, very smart guy.

Actually, I don't. At least when you look at the group as a whole. I would guess less then 1% of them could pull that off successfully.

rabbit 01-28-2016 06:12 PM

so? glad to see some girls are smart enough to use something like that! as a business man you should understand. in the end its good for all- big cam sites will have to match value offered in order to compete and hence build a better product.

Pseudonymous 01-29-2016 12:15 AM

we offer it to our models as well , across our 1000+ sites.

justporncam 01-29-2016 02:11 AM

The website is not loading for us in the past hour or so... Anyone has the same issue?

yep same issue

Petra 01-29-2016 04:54 AM

We're getting ready to integrate it into Customs4U, right after we launch our live cam feature. Skype/phone/text has a huge, huge market.

Barry-xlovecam 01-29-2016 08:00 AM

I guess if you don't care about Microsoft and world governments having access to your webcam show activities this is just the thing for you. Customers to care ... We, as a camsite, offer privacy protection to both customers and camgirls. Microsoft does have a commercial interest in these activities and will sell you out to the US government in a New York second.

Camgirls have had their messenger/IM accounts hacked as long as I remember (from 2001). Then there are the stalkers -- forcing camgirls to change their messenger account names.

It's all good when you don't know what you are talking about.

To be honest, the cam girls I know, all get skype requests.

No one cares if Microsoft have access to anything.

My guess is how they have some sort of bridge to protect actual messenger id, plus that is required anyway for billing purposes.

just stating a fact, an observation, a trend.

not "for" anything, though you interpret it that way.

I agree with vending_machine that these cam girls get a name in big cam sites first (some are even porn stars so got name in sites or dvd industry), then no wonder, guys learn of them and google them, so to find also their twitter accounts.

Ok, there is always that smart cam girl who will reply in forum that she never been in any cam site or pay site, and so made all of the username success herself; that's the 0.1% exception that confirms the main rule, which is, 99.9% of traffic is in big cam sites and you need to make an account as cam model there to get known in first place (and, being a star in movies helps too).

Further, some of these models started in studios who trained them and made them good photosets, in addition to register them in the big cam sites, so if these later quit studio to go home, then even later quit cam site stealing all the userbase from the cam site, well, ok that sure makes sense and she's smart, but, it would have not happened without the cam sites in first place.

Said all this, SkyPrivate is cool and Alex (the owner) is smart, and for what I know, universally hated by cam site owners (I don't hate him, instead, I talk him, why not, I even talk with pimps - oh wait, I am one too...).

skyprivate 01-29-2016 11:22 AM

hi guys.
this is Alex from SkyPrivate.
I really want to thank for the nice words to the persons that I now know personally as I met them face to face.
thank you Kenny, Petra.

just to add my point of view, as there will be many of you having different opinions about SkyPrivate or about models using Skype:
in the end, all that matters is that we (try) to make a platform that the girls need and love to use. we see this as the future. (see uber vs taxi companies).
as a company, we also try/tried to be very open and license our technology to cam companies - but they do not like us so we stopped that. but we are still open to do partnership with any serious adult company. (think ModelCentro, Customs4U and so on).

we act as a "cam site" with a different business model but we also have a classic affiliate program - if any of you have QUALITY traffic (members OR models).

PS
AMA: please feel free to ask me anything.

ITraffic 01-29-2016 11:31 AM

good points but not so simple nowadays. that is like saying a girl can only have a massive instagram following unless she was on a reality tv show first.

i am just reporting what i am seeing. more and more girls with plenty of fans not using traditional cam sites.

they just beg for retweets and plugs from guys who have sites devoted to promoting cam girls. guys with hundreds of thousands of followers.

no one will watch porn on their phone btw. screen too small ; )

Lots of people became famous from fb etc., but most are singers, like Justin Bieber, since adult is not allowed, so no one can become famous for the adult stuff specifically. Only up to bikini models, see Kate Upton - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia "Model since 2008... for Garage and Dooney & Bourke, she was the 2010â??11 face of Guess ... in 2011, an Internet video of her dance at a Los Angeles Clippers game went viral and increased her popularity", she was just helped, did not started online.
The top woman internet-born personalities who are not singer, are (always clothed, PG13 rated) comedians, see: JennaMarbles - YouTube ( Jenna Marbles - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ).
Instagram is photos, so about looks, in fact the top 5 most followed accounts are all women: 1) Taylor Swift 49M, 2) Kim Kardashian 48M, 3) Beyoncé 47M, 4) Selena Gomez 46M, 5) Ariana Grande 44M; all singers except Kardashian, all famous before the net. A girl famous just for instagram is: Jen Selter (@jenselter) â¢ Instagram photos and videos with 8M followers, but she sure would never talk dirty.

This leaves just twitter, allowing adult somewhat, for now.
Here a list of the top 1000:

Twitter top 100 most followed - Twitter Counter
http://twittercounter.com/pages/100/100
http://twittercounter.com/pages/100/200
...
http://twittercounter.com/pages/100/900

I quickly browsed top 500 down to 5M followers (myke tyson is #500) and I seen no one related to adult. This is suspect...
At #1000 they got 3.2M followers. This includes indians, pakistani, filipino, brazillians etc. followers who are unlikely customers of cam shows. So I wonder what's a minimum of followers to warranty a $5k+/month sales to a cam girl? One can answer - enough 1 whale followe, and that's true, but this is fished from a sea of leechers.

And there was Snapchat, but, they kicked out all the cam girls time ago:

http://www.dailydot.com/technology/s...t-porn-banned/
https://mikandi.com/blog/news/snapca...snapchat-porn/

Well not all of them, just they ban when they find out... and funny enough, twitter helps to find who:

https://twitter.com/porn_snapchat

What I mean here it is, that I suspect twitter at some point may ban cam girls and porn stars too. Anyway twitter is doing very bad:

http://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/n...-low/78646306/
http://www.theguardian.com/technolog...o-years-report

"The stock is down 25% since went public two years ago."
"Twitter's US users fall by a third in two years. Twitterâ??s Vine, declined to less than three-fifths of its April 2014 install base. Weekly active users fallen from 15% to 10.5% for Twitter and 1.7% to 0.8% for Vine."..l and 79% of its accounts are outside the US.

Probably they're not banning adult accounts and posts also in a desperate attempt to limit the dramatic fall in usage. But in the long run I think either twitter dies (merged into facebook or google+ or so), or bans adult too (re-read this post after 5 and/or 10 years from now).

What I mean it is that you can't get viral as cam girl in mainstream sites and twitter alone seems not the future; so the main viral adult mrketing still happens in the big cam sites (or in porn tubes for hardcore stars, not for cams).
