74 is not so old.
The problem with getting old is watching everyone die :2 cents:

Saw them at the Isle of Wight Festival and in a couple of London clubs. One of those acts that stay with you. They created some great stuff.

Their like will never come again.

He was a good musician,RIP Paul :(

He was a cool dude. Once saw him jump off stage and start shoving two security guys that were roughing up a guy that was very high on acid. He took the guy back on stage with him and let him watch the rest of the show from the side of stage. RIP Paul

Back when they were Jefferson Bi-plane? :winkwink:

I'm surprised the dude made it to 74 to be honest. Paul was a major cokehead for YEARS. Great guitarist and songwriter, terrible singer. LOL But awesome cool dude and he will be missed.

Chyna Kantner must be sad today, too.

R.I.P.

Wow fucking awesome!! Paul did some great work with Jerry. I also love how Kantner co-wrote the CSN song 'Wooden Ships'.

It's a shame we don't have musicians or a musical community like that anymore, isn't it? Man those cats could PLAY!

I always compared Seattle in the 90s to the NY CBGB scene, or to the Bay of the 60s in the way that the bands were all pals and collaborated and challenged each other creatively. I always wonder where the next "happening" is or will be. Conditions have to be just right... something to rail against, few places to get exposure so everyone is piled on each other, a few people with writing and playing skills that will bring the magic...

This is another that I always loved from "Blows" - simple, silly, but just so sweet. Always brings a little mist making think back on when my kids were newborns.

Nothing on the "don't tell me how to ruin my life" blog about it yet. I heard they were the best of friends and he was at his birthday party. Just read it in another post but nothing was on there so I don't know for sure.
