Matt LeBlanc still holds the "star in a reasonable car" record. He's definitely a petrol head & a great choice of co host :thumbsup

CaptainHowdy 02-04-2016 06:43 AM

Ok .......

DVTimes 02-04-2016 06:49 AM

Clearly added for the USA market so the BBC can sell it back to the USA.

pornguy 02-04-2016 07:14 AM

Good for him.

LetterTwenty7 02-04-2016 07:18 AM

I'm pretty sure that show will never be the same, but let's see what Joey can do. Let's hope his sense of humour has improved.

I think it will flop.

Clarkson made the show his own.

I do not find Chris Evens entertaining.

But the BBC is in a mess because this show made them a huge amount of money.

DVTimes 02-04-2016 07:23 AM

I wonder if Matt will be happy to be second on the billing as it would seem Chris Evens is to be made the lead.

Elli 02-04-2016 01:15 PM

I wonder if this means they're shutting down the US version of Top Gear.

I think they will at least test it, to see if the UK version sells in the US. The US version is not really a hit. I just think Matt LeBlanc's appeal is to a different audience

I don't like the US version of Top Gear, maybe will be the same with the British version now too :2 cents:

The Australian version was pretty terrible, I imagine the US version was/is much the same.

The US version was funny... I loved the silly stuff they did.

I thought it got better after the first series.

Den BongaCash 02-05-2016 01:43 AM

I think he will be a great asset to the show.

Paul Markham 02-05-2016 02:20 AM

It will be very different. The humour and mix of the three was what made BBC the show.

Has their US version been shown yet?

Tjeerd TrafficCompany 02-05-2016 05:32 AM

"The One With Joey's Porsche"

They better make a reference in the show.

Agreed. Tanner Foust isn't terrible, but the fake banter was so annoying. It's like they said "We need tall brash guy, short driver guy, and sciency-regular person guy. Now write for them like we write for the BBC guys." They should have tried to make something more unique instead of an exact replica.

It was this that I didn't like with the US version :2 cents:
