Trump Gets Booed For Telling The Truth About...

...the failed Iraq war. LOL Republicans.

Robbie 02-13-2016 08:00 PM

He didn't even flinch! Went straight ahead and didn't give a damn what the Republicans think.

Refreshing.

I didn't see the whole debate, but the clips I saw showed it was a pretty bitter affair.

[I]t appears Trump might have misspoken because he appeared to share a more accurate version of the statistic at a rally in December.
Trump does not engage his brain before he opens his wind-bag mouth. That sort of shit is OK for reality TV but that is not the way business is carried out nor how presidential level diplomacy and policy decisions are made. Trump might act like Harry S. Truman on a LSD trip :2 cents:

I predict that a Trump presidency will be a gold mine for builders of prepper bunkers.

Compared to the other guys that stage any sane person would sound like as much. Hillary and Bernie would have us believe that he's Satan nonetheless.

This is an interesting election cycle to be sure.

It's nice to see the Republicans defend the great job Obama has done with his middle eastern wars

He was booed because the audience was filled with Bush and Rubio donors who badly want Trump out of the race. They booed Trump when he called Cruz a bigger liar than Jeb Bush but applauded Rubio when he called Cruz a liar not long after.

Exactly. He's getting ready to win the moderate, conservative Democrat, and libertarian vote come the general election.

He has to win SC because doing so almost always seals the nomination.

Trump speaks the truth on many things, his problem is he will be a terrible negotiator.

Everyone know the invasion of Iraq was a huge mistake, one they repeated by removing Gadaffi and trying to repeat by removing Assad.

The men they remove are tho only type who can run the ME. There's no room for moderate leaders.

Instead of insulting people, he should be quietly repeating facts, that some of the present hopefuls want to do more interfering in the ME. Which is costly in lives and dollars.

How did you conclude that? In what ways are other candidates better? they may have more experience with some shady political deals, but not sure how that is a good thing?

bronco67 02-14-2016 09:46 AM

Did anyone think Donald Trump actually debated anything? He has no grasp on knowledge or facts about any global or domestic situation, and doesn't respond with anything other than the repetitive canned stump speech lines. He sounds no better than your angry old uncle who may or may not have read the newspaper that morning. There's nothing there.

2MuchMark 02-14-2016 09:58 AM

It's pretty clear that none of the republicans deserve to be or are qualified to be president.

Hello...what do you think people have been trying to tell you since day one?

Trump is NOT a right wing extremist. That has been clear to the RNC since the beginning and they have been trying to get rid of him.

And that is why he is polling so high across all demographics.

MSNBC (of all places) reported that polling data a couple of days ago: Trump is winning among conservatives, moderates, tea party, evangelicals, and even Libertarians.

He's winning in every demographic. And it isn't because he's "extreme". It's because he isn't a bought and paid for bureaucrat criminal.

Did you actually READ that?

"A report from the Social Security Administration's inspector general last year did find that there are an estimated 6.5 million Social Security number holders who are age 112 or older who are not listed as deceased.

"SSA did not have controls in place to annotate death information on the Numident records of number holders who exceeded maximum reasonable life expectancies and were likely deceased," the report said.

Nearly all of the 6.5 million Social Security number holders had no earnings or payments from Social Security on their records, which suggests they weren't actually receiving benefits. "

So yeah, the Govt. thinks that there are 6.5 MILLION people over age 112!!!

WTF?!?!?!

And "nearly all" of them aren't getting Social Security. WTF?

Number one...the govt. is so goddamned stupid that they think there are 6.5 million people in the U.S. over the age of 112.
And their records are SO precise that they think that "nearly all" of them aren't getting the benefits that they technically should be getting if those numbers are correct.

Brother, no matter how you cut it....Trump is right. That is govt. being totally and completely incompetent.

Also...Trump said "thousands" of people who are supposedly 106 years old are getting benefits.
The govt. says "nearly all" of the 6.5 MILLION people they think are 112 years old are not getting them.

That means that "some" (to use the govt.'s precise numbers) ARE getting them.

So if 2 thousand people ARE getting them that are dead of that 6.5 MILLION people...that would only be a little over 3 percent.

So the govt. could say 97% or "nearly all" are NOT getting them.

Trump was 100% correct. And the people of this country know it.

People are starting to wake up and spot it when the govt. and the media are lying through their teeth.

GFED 02-14-2016 12:40 PM

The government kills older people on social security. Believe it or not. Both of my parents were executed in the hospital by doctors. I can't prove it, but I know the truth.

bushwacker 02-14-2016 12:59 PM

On define on; like on the dole or on the rolls? You assumed ON the dole ...

Trump said 'on' as in receiving. He may have just misspoke. The point is NOT who is on social security my point was you don't want a nation's leader misspeaking what he means. His finger is on the nuclear trigger and in a lesser way misspeaking can cause market turmoil -- the stakes are higher.

I watched the debate. (I've watched them all)

They aren't "debates". They are "Moderators" doing a glorified Q&A session with the candidates.
Trump answered the questions they asked him. Just like all the other Republican and Democrat candidates do.

Trump was definitely in full "fuck you" mode on this last one though. lol

And what you don't "get" is that the majority of people are sick of those polished guys like Bush and Rubio who are basically told what to say by their "handlers".

If you are still confused as to what is fueling Trump's candidacy then you are as out of touch as the Republican establishment is.

I'll say one thing...we will never again in our lifetimes see the establishment of both party's challenged the way they are being challenged right now.

I hope that both Trump and Sander's win their respective nominations.

He throws insults, he doesn't negotiate he demands and if his demands aren't met he walks.

Most people know the Iraq war was illegal, bombingLibya a waste of time, bombing Syria another waste of time. Even Afganistan ended as a disaster. To get booed for stating this is an accomplishment only a lack of common sense can achieve. He should have opened with the lives the State has given in pursuit of unwinnable goals.

As you say he's clueless in this arena.

In the UK every candidate had to put forward a manifesto. This is where they put forward their aims and budgeted plans on how they will achieve them. Without these, there's no point in debating anything.

Same shit, new day ...

Donald Trump joins 'Meet The Press' from Mar-A-Lago Sunday morning - wptv.com
Quote:

The NBC host brought up Trump’s positions on the Iraq War Sunday morning, something the billionaire businessman attacked former Governor Bush over in Saturday night’s debate.

“How do you know [President George Bush] lied about WMD [weapons of mass destruction in Iraq],” Todd asked in the interview. “I think that people knew that there were no weapons of mass destruction. I think they wanted to go in there,” Trump insisted. He goes on to add, “…certainly the war in Iraq was a disaster. It was a mistake. We went into Iraq, lost thousands of lives, it cost trillions of dollars.”

Despite Trump’s insistence, BuzzFeed News ** see below quote ** points out Trump wrote about weapons of mass destruction in his book published in 2000, The America We Deserve.

Similarly his 2000 book, The America We Deserve Trump noted Iraq was developing weapons of mass destruction and targeted Iraq strikes had little impact on their overall capabilities. The Donald said the best course might be against Iraq to “carry the mission to its conclusion.”
Trump Wrote Iraq WMDs Were Threat Year Before Bush Took Office - BuzzFeed News

Quote:

Similarly his 2000 book, The America We Deserve Trump noted Iraq was developing weapons of mass destruction and targeted Iraq strikes had little impact on their overall capabilities. The Donald said the best course might be against Iraq to “carry the mission to its conclusion.”

Wrote Trump:
Consider Iraq. After each pounding from U.S . warplanes, Iraq has dusted itself off and gone right back to work developing a nuclear arsenal. Six years of tough talk and U.S. fireworks in Baghdad have done little to slow Iraq’s crash program to become a nuclear power. They’ve got missiles capable of flying nine hundred kilometers—more than enough to reach Tel Aviv. They’ve got enriched uranium. All they need is the material for nuclear fission to complete the job, and, according to the Rumsfeld report, we don’t even know for sure if they’ve laid their hands on that yet. That’s what our last aerial assault on Iraq in 1999 was about. Saddam Hussein wouldn’t let UN weapons inspectors examine certain sites where that material might be stored. The result when our bombing was over? We still don’t know what Iraq is up to or whether it has the material to build nuclear weapons. I’m no warmonger. But the fact is, if we decide a strike against Iraq is necessary, it is madness not to carry the mission to its conclusion. When we don’t, we have the worst of all worlds: Iraq remains a threat, and now has more incentive than ever to attack us.

Trump is just the same as any pol spin-doctor -- The Trump changes his tune as the wind blows.

At the time I got chumped also by Little Bush&Co; but I will 'fess up to it and admit it. The Donald's ego is too big for him to have the basic humility that a good leader must have. America is electing a new President and not coronating an Emperor who can never be wrong :2 cents:
