Skype is pissing me off
For the last 2 weeks it doesn't notify me of new messages. I've checked online and there is no real solution to this. Anyone else having this problem?
|
Hmmm. Haven't had the same issues here...
|
I have problem even sending messages most don't go through half the time
|
Works OK here:2 cents:

Skype decides to position my comments, and the person I am talking with comments, in the order they feel is right and not in the order submitted. Very frustrating.
|
seems to be working for me. Are you talking for your phones or PC? I have it on my tablet and phone but only log in on my PC.

The other major issue is timestamps. They are not in sync. You can send a message after the other person and it will often post before the other persons message, leaving you wondering whether or not they will see the message. |

That was happening to me as well when i was using originally skype on windows, which is reason why i hated to use it till i moved to linux and skype working fine there.
And most annoying then was delayed offline messages, for example i would be for like 2 hours online and then received message which was 2-3 days old, thinking how it's fresh message. This could be also reason why some people to which i was senting message never responded, as they probably didnt seen them at all |
Dont use it anymore

Have thus same priblem. My messages not going to the receiver

I think you need to update it.
|
Ever since their last update skype has gone to shit. I'm not being notified of messages and even better, all the numbers for new notifications stay there unless I physically get rid of them. o_O
And call quality has been crap both locally (maybe 60km difference) as well as internationally. |
On one of my PC's it wont let me download the latest version and I've also witnessing your same issues

I did not update because I have heard of so many people rolling back, but I kept getting notification to update to the new one every single time I opened it. To turn this off find SkypeSetup.exe, create a text file with the same name and then delete the original SkypeSetup.exe. Right click the text file then properties, turn off all the permission. Restart and you should not get bothered to update anymore. Not quite the answer you are looking for but it did help with the older version I am on.
