The Latest X-Files - GREAT!..

No spoilers - Lets just say it was fucking good - Really enjoyed it...

I am not sure how they are moving on from that - They MUST have something planned though.....

mineistaken 02-23-2016 06:18 PM

I do not believe in that plan to eradicate all people except the chosen ones. Everybody were infected by vaccines but it happened in US only, of course in "partner" countries maybe as well. But what about Africa, Asia, various tribes and so on. They definitely did not have those vaccines, at least not at that rate.
So basically those elite people would eradicate own people and leave most of the rest of the poor world intact? I do not see anyone with an evil plan to wipe of most of the population leaving lets say billions of Africans (who are responsible for the biggest breeding) alive.
Unless the plan is to have billion enslaved by the thousand of elite. But the question is here - would 1000 US population be capable of enslaving billion of rest of the world. They won't have any previous power of US.

I figured those sorts would ultimately get sick by the airborne pathogens from the previous sick people. Guessing.

I guess a true conspiracy theorist would say that is why they have been on a mass immunization drive in the 3rd world - The Polio vaccine has been given to billions...

They did mention Europe was seeing the same thing and I think Smoking Man said 'around the world'.....

The conspiracy nuts guy on tv mentioned that Europe has fallen.. I think the whole world was affected, they simply don't had time to cover it.. and that was the main problem with this and the first episode..
It should have been a 90 minute episode, just like season 10's pilot. They told more things in 45 minutes then they did in the old series during a half season.

And I'm kinda afraid that they have big plans for the younger agents.. so even if the series continues (which I assume will), then I'm pretty sure in half of the episodes we will see only those guys.

Its cool, I hope they will make second season sooner...

LetterTwenty7 02-24-2016 09:25 AM

Is it really finally great?! After the first episode, that was just too bad to be true. Can't wait to watch it tonight. :eek2

I noticed that, that is why I said "friendly countries" were affected as well. By friendly I meant that they coordinated and distributed those vaccines to western allies and so on. But it was not the case with millions (or even billion(s)+) third world countries and tribes.
That is why I said it would be a strange elite conspiracy when you leave most of the bottom world along with the elite.

But all that is cleared if, as dynamo said, the virus is airborne. Not only airborne, but airborne+effective on not vaccinated people (since it may be airborne but only effective on vaccinated people, which was not clear to me).

I've been amazed at how well they've put this whole thing together and that the time between old and new never seemed to be felt.

Fox has a big task on their hands in testing the waters and moving forward. If they kill the show now definitely they'll have a backlash.

Fringe was another show I wish never went off the air

I liked it, but it ran for a long time, not sure anything much new could have been added to the script. Definitely not one of those "canceled too early" shows.

The general consensus has been that this revival sucked ass. And save a few good moments and one solid episode, I kind of agree.

The worst of the bunch were the ones written by Chris Carter, oddly enough.

Are you frequent TV series watcher though? So you could compare to current standard.

Although maybe we should not expect HBO quality from "free" TV channel?
