Cloudflare

Any benefits from using the free version of Cloudflare to manage DNS or should I stick with GoDaddy?

Just for DNS management? I mean, sure, but the free version offers quite a bit more than that.

I use Cloudflare's free DNS for the majority of my sites now, it's one of the fastest DNS providers (and free!) around - just do a search for dns benchmarks. I don't use any of their other stuff, I just add my dns records and make sure the little cloud images are set to grey and good to go :).

Changes are also near instant which is always great.

what ^^ said.

cloudflare dns is best and free.

on top of that there are more features which dont require us to edit html/php files .

like inserting analytics codes / minimizing html, css,js on the fly, free ssl/

Thanks for the advice gents. BTW: anexsia, aren't the clouds supposed to be set to orange, not grey?

My only issue with them is the refusal to assist people with DMCA.

Took quite a bit of hammering to get a contact with them for DMCA and then he replies only half the time.

seems to me that question can be easily answered with ping times and page load times.

Yea, I've notice a lot of piracy sites use them for anonymity. I had an issue with them as well several month's back. Although they did respond to my DMCA by giving me the hosting company of the site that was infringing on my content. Sent them a notice and it was taken care of. :thumbsup

Yeah some times we get a response, others we dont. Seems that the bigger the site they work with the less likely they respond.
