Is FIVE US CENTS per forum post too much or too little?
 

I'm thinking of putting up a new forum on a FINANCE-related niche.

I've got lots of offshore people with decent English skills lined up.

I'm thinking of offering 5 US cents per post (thread) and 2 cents per post (responses).

Is this too little or too much?

wow people really are broke if they are willing to make posts for 5 cents on a "FINANCE-related niche".. I mean I could see 5 cents a post on gfy but to have to talk about finance you would need to be slightly educated and for 5 cents??

Yeah, I'm asking them to CURATE stuff. ie. use shocking titles and post a snippet of existing NEWS site stuff. COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from BrassMonkey LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL. No pure copy and paste. I require at least some thinking re picking which PROVOCATIVE snippet to quote and the TITLE has to be CLICKBAIT like Upworthy or ViralNova or some Buzzfeed stuff.

It's been too long, I can't remember - However, one feature I liked was importing RSS feeds as topics - That could work for you - Grabbing headlines from Yahoo Biz news feed with a summary and having your grunt workers talk about the news...

Automated importing is a PROBLEM...

You want people to post compelling information on a financial forum that will draw in real users and engage them for 5 cents per post? That won't happen. It is much cheaper to pay more for content that actually engages people than to completely waste your money paying less for content that will never get a single real person interested in your community. :2 cents:

It should be atleast 1$ per post tho it also depend on howmuch words are per post.
It's not same paying 5 cents for 20 posts which will be just one liners(fatfoo style) or 1$ for post of 200 words.

Never happen. Too little money for the time spent, and an increase will only detour business.

Consulting is made in person, not online. You can make some money online, but you can't maintain making money online in the manner you outlined.

Re work it for a live consulting. Forget point and clicking.

Offer the online for free to seduce new sales in person. Don't give away all your insight for pennies, just a little, as a business tease to get a client.
