Hosting Service

Can someone please recommend good quality VPS hosting with reasonable prices and awesome support. I have been with TMD Hosting for awhile and I should have bailed long ago. Support has gone to crap, they say they are making upgrades , lie about it and downgrade your cpu cores to half of what you pay for. So beware of TMD Hosting, they are getting real shady over there. To bad they used to be decent.

PS. Please do not send me bullshit hosting offers just because you are an affiliate.

Thank you

One of my sites is with hostwinds, it has over 200 days uptime and it was me rebooting it for a kernel update before that it hasn't gone down in over a year.

MojoHost doesn't really provide much info on their site and no way to speak to a live rep. Kind of a turn off for me.:Oh crap

I just got off with sales hostwind was looking amazing until I found out they charge for cpanel and softaculous and a few other things that were a huge turn off.

My current hosting company advertises 2 cpu cores for my vps bracket come to find out they only give one core with hyperthreading, sorry but hyperthreading is not a core. After upgrading their technology I get one core without hyperthreading and I am paying for 2 cores as advertised. I am not pleased with the situation, Time to make a move

ronaldst 03-05-2016 04:49 PM

Extra charge of cPanel os quite common for VPS and Dedicateds. Most shared ones include it though.

I upgraded to a VPS recently and settled with interserver. The Price was right for me after much research and I love the speed increase. Traffic to my site is increasing too :-D

They do a slice thing where for an extra $6 a month per slice you can add more memory, storage, data and cores. You can downgrade too if you wish but for me at this time it's great to keep upgrading as my site grows and my earnings increase.

You must pay extra for cpanel which I personally wasn't keen on but when all costs are added I feel I'm still getting a great deal.

How many CPU cores in your package? Also if you do a video dump of say 500 videos do you have any overload issues or get bogged down ?

Gandolph 03-07-2016 12:41 PM

After 3 days with tech support over at TMD and much confusions and frustration it appears that they have this VPS running correctly after they upgraded their equipment. This VPS flys now, though wasting 3 days of my life cause of issues they won't admit to after their upgrade does not make me happy. At least it works correctly now. My VPS also worked just fine before the upgrades

Nice one Gandolph. Good to hear it's all sorted out now. Off topic but I just noticed that your back to your old theme. Did you go off of dolce or have problems with it?

I have 2 cores now with 5120mb memory. I upgraded to the 5 slices because the site is making me more money so I wanted to see if the extra speed helped my rankings and so on.

I've never had any overload issues or any problems in general with my vps thankfully. On a single core I had over 500 videos and all worked fine.

I use Leaseweb, Ramnode, VULTR, PhotonVPS, and I have a $10/month dedicated server at Wholesaleinternet (Intel E7300 Core2Duo, 4GB RAM, 250GB Harddrive, 100Mb unmetered (but port is 1Gbps).

I agree with you about EasyTube. I really like milfzmilk. The looks and functioning of the theme on there works well . I think I might use it for my next site.

Transferring my sites to Hostwinds as we speak. The packages are awesome with room for upgrades based on the resources that you actually need and of course there are full package upgrades too. They have a very good library of training videos and support so far is top notch in helping me get my sites transferred and helping me with there site and where to find everything. They also built my VPS in a very reasonable amount of time. My last hosting company told me that they would only help me with issues that were basically on their end If I upgraded my service and when I upgraded my service it took them 4 and a half days to migrate my sites. Then they forgot to add my new IP addresses and had all of my sites sharing one IP. Then got pissed when I brought this to their attention and told me that they would install my other IP addresses but my sites may go down. Sites went down for 4 hours and came back up 3 days outdated, took them another 6 ours to bring my sites back up, as they were down another 6 hours and I went to sleep woke up to an email that all of my sites were back online but they were not. Sorry but I feel that taht is bad business. I lost a shit load of traffic. But hey so far hostwinds is doing my right!!

Good move, hope you can now focus on $$ rather than worrying about your hosting :2 cents:

FYI, i tried to look at milfzmilk on my android Galaxy S5 and I can't because the age warning is too tall and i can't see the "enter" or "agree" button. And I can't scroll the warning. I can see the grey, and part of white lettering so i can tell it says warning on top, but the bottom i just get a little of the grey and tops of white lettering.
So, in essence I can not get in your site on my galaxy android.
Not being a troll, just trying to be helpful.
