Do quality blogs still get traffic? Any tips?
 

I remember reading about someone a few months ago that does very well with blogs. I can not seem to find the thread. I am just curious if anyone is doing well with blogs and if you have any tips to get started? One blog with really high quality posts or many niche blogs with a few posts or a mix of both? Are paysites worth pushing anymore or target cams and dating? Find hardlinks with others or build my own PBN to handle that?

I see a lot of established news media outlets doing well with blogs but the common thread is that their blogs contain editorial and commentary content. Unique content not AP, API or other syndicated content (read: copy and paste affiliate content).

Either hand write your blogs these days or don't bother blogging..

not true. i am seeing a good number of sites scrape news sites / feeds and push the posts through social media for traffic which is monetized in a number of ways.

obviously that method is alive and well.

So is going after niche terms in the engines dead using blogs? Long tail at least?

Search for some terms that you want to potentially target, see what comes up, then figure it out. It changes all the time. :upsidedow

I've been doing this for about 15 years in the adult industry. I sold my last network and took a break for awhile. I am just currently doing some research and I am confident I will find something that works well again but thank you for your input. I don't normally do what everyone else is doing.

Blogs do VERY well! Wordpress is more popular then ever and it's very easy to get good search engine traffic to blogs.
