Trump Relied on Funding from George Soros to Build Chicago Trump Tower

2016 Republican presidential candidate and billionaire real estate investor Donald Trump borrowed money from progressive-leaning billionaire George Soros back in 2004 to build the Trump International Hotel and Tower in Chicago.

According to The New York Post’s celebrity gossip column Page Six, Trump and Soros were seen together at a 2009 Christmas party hosted by economist Nouriel Roubini, who has been called “Dr. Doom” for his bearish economic predictions.

Why evolved?
If you are taking investors for your business projects you do not care what political affiliation they have.

That wasn't a Soros risk investment...it was a Soros loan, which means pay back plus interest. Trump paying interest back to Soros means providing further funding for Soros' beliefs.

It's almost always a bad idea to bet against Soros.

Investment or loan is irrelevant in this argument. In both cases Soros profits (well investment may fail I suppose and loan is guaranteed interest).

Sounds like you are saying - it would have been ok if he took investment money and bad/worse if he took loan money for investing.

Absolutely irrelevant to the accusation topic which is "Trump took money from him for his business and yet he criticizes him for political actions".
To which I replied - businessmen do not decline investments/loans for their business for the reason that they do not like guy's political views :1orglaugh
At least 99% of them would not.

It's not simply that Trump does not like Soros' political views...Trump is actively arguing against Soros. But by paying interest to Soros, Trump is supporting Soros' political goals.

Soros is a big money...... $30 billion is the estimate but some say he's worth a LOT more. Trump and Soros are both as unpopular as each other for different reasons and maybe one connected reason: they are both capitalists.

The UK government tried it and it ended very badly for them and very well for Soros when he scored a cool Billion dollars in a single day of trading against the UK pound.

This type of thinking is no better than the Google apologists on here.

Call them out as parasites and turn the tide.

DraX 03-17-2016 11:29 PM

Soros is a more dangerous man than Trump will ever be. :2 cents:
