I hardly where make up, just eye shadow & some eye liner most of the time.... how ever, I suppose the make up is to make a woman look pretty, as from a man, with both being humans.

Maybe because people are used to women in makeup, so when you see one without it looks worse than what you are used to.
Since people are not used to men in makeup they "look the same no matter what".
