What animals are You Scared Of?

I am not really scared of any animal but cows unnerve me..

I remember a few years back being on a cliff face with a gradual decline to a rocky beach below.
I wanted to access the rocky beach but had to pass through the field of cows.

No problem, I wan't afraid of a few cows so I walked accross the field and the cows started to follow me.
They followed me down the slope to the beach, they were actually waling across stones on the beach wanting to come closer to me, all the time watching me with a stare.

Did you ever meet one ion the flesh, face to face so to speak?
If not, why do they unnerve you?

Same but add bears to the list. I've encountered them and they always run, but still you gotta have a bit of fear of something that big and powerful.

I've never seen a big cat in the wild though, they are very good at hiding.

Edit.. I take that back, my dad has a Bob cat that sometimes roams his property. I saw it once as it crossed the road, but it's not really a "big" cat.

Whatever animal can fit at least 25% of my body mass in it's mouth. You know what? I think 10% would be just as scary.

Snakes and sharks and whales

I am still literally afraid to swim in the deep end of my pool if I'm alone

I hate having a live shrimp in my hands.

Daniel Piers 03-21-2016 02:51 AM

Snakes. Lizards are fine. Snakes are disgusting and dangerous at the same time. Nightmare.

LetterTwenty7 03-21-2016 03:26 AM

Interesting question, mate. I have no idea. It looks like I am not scared of them at all. Of course, I would be scared if I would be faced with a lion, for instance. Animals are amazing!

OldNew Dana 03-21-2016 03:34 AM

Bees, wasps, hornets and bumblebees...

Basically anything small, winged colored yellow-black. I have bad phobia. I behave irrationally and there is nothing I do about it - run, yell and cry when they are in the room with me. In summer it can be annoying :D I have same with the dentists :D :D :D

rogueteens 03-21-2016 04:04 AM

Wombles.

I hate wasps/hornets, I have to admit I got a phobia myself. I also behave irrationally. The worst place I know is sitting at a outdoor place like a restaurant and hornets flying around me and it's enough with one of them. I don't yell or cry but if it gets too close I need to stand up and move away. Others are just sitting calm looking at me wondering what I'm doing.

If I'm quickly identifying it's a bee or bumblebee then I have no problem, just those others tiny aggressive won't-leave-me-alone warriors of the sky.

People who say "I'm not afraid of any animal" have spent way too much time at the petting zoo and not enough out in the wild.

Hear a pack of wolves howl from close by while you're walking down a stretch of country road at night, or see a 500 lb blackbear outside your cabin poking around, or while camping wake up at 3 am to the lovely musical sound of a mountain lion growling in the near vicinity and you'd change your tune pretty quick. Assuming you survive.

And at any of those moments or any like them, there's a chance you might piss yourself, but trust me, you *will* wish you had a gun.

Being in the water with a bunch of hungry sharks.

Ross 03-21-2016 01:26 PM

Sharks, Snakes, Jellyfish. I don't really fear much but those 3 and probably a lot more shit in the Seas/Ocean I don't know about. I rarely will go swimming in the Ocean, too much shit that can hurt you.

I wouldn't say I am afraid of things like Bears because I tend to never be in a situation I will come across one but that isn't to say I wouldn't crap my underwear if faced with one. In all honesty, I'm sure in different situations, there are tons of animals I'm afraid of but rarely, if ever, going to be in a situation where I will come across it.
