yup seems to be.

It's been "legal" the entire time, i.e. there is not now, not has there at any time been a law against Paypal processing for adult.

However, Paypal's own terms did not allow for adult and still does not accept it directly. They way it works now is that Epoch has a deal with Paypal, where adult Paypal payments are handled through Epoch. This means you need to have a merchant account with and be processing via Epoch, then you can enable Paypal payments for an adult site.

They tested it for EU market 1-2 years ago and rolled it out to US and other markets about a year ago or so.

They keep changing. I remember when the VP showed up to Phoenix Forum before the majority of the world heard of Paypal, and lots of us put them up. This must have been 2002 or 2003. A month later they told us to remove Paypal.

_Richard_ 03-30-2016 08:24 AM

should still be through epoch

MaDalton 03-30-2016 08:26 AM

welcome to 2014

Waste of time... They do not police is as they did before... But all what it takes is one of your "jealous competitors" to hit the report button and they take you down along with all the cash you have on deposit...

... As said above the onlynsafe way is thru Epoch.

:2 cents:

With this thought in mind.....yes, they did...

Last Year my name showed up on an unclaimed funds list from my state (my sister informed me).....
It was the paypal funds they locked up from 2002 or so from my old paysite.

They still have $400+ of mine from an old account that I used for adult payments that they closed in 2006, emailed them like 5 times to get it back... nothing!

sadiedazzle 03-30-2016 06:21 PM

It's a surprise that it has taken Paypal so long to decide to be okay with adult sites when it is a very large and very much thriving industry for years!

megapower 03-31-2016 09:59 AM

I don't know about hard stuff, but they allow adult dating sites.

The hard part is if you want them to allow Reference Transactions, it took us one year to get them enabled.

Peace 04-01-2016 02:42 AM

I called paypal they said they dont allow )))

Yeah, now call Epoch and ask the same question. As has already been stated above, it's not via paypal directly. You will, however be able to accept Paypal payments via Epoch as processor.

Read their TOS and weep....if you can read !!! NOBODY here said they take adult content sites:2 cents:

Barry-xlovecam 04-01-2016 08:18 AM

Yes, Epoch has an exclusive deal with PayPal on adult digital goods processing.

When, and if, the time deal on that exclusivity expires -- we would consider putting up a cash performance bond with PayPal of perhaps $250K for a guarantee against chargebacks liability covering $2.5 million in processing credit.

thickcash_amo 04-01-2016 12:08 PM

They dont, Friend of mine just got banned for using adult references in the memo.
