JP Morgan Restricts ATM Cash Withdrawals

Last month All News Pipeline warned that major banks were preparing to tighten the screws on American account holders starting April 1st.

It appears that the lock-down of cash has begun.

Citing criminal activity as a factor, JP Morgan is limiting cash withdrawals at ATM machines.

The Panama Papers, I guarantee you, will be cited as another reason to take forward the "War on Cash" and (eventually) tagging.

It's now illegal to own a Dog in the UK which hasnt been micro-chipped - soon enough they'll be chipping humans.

Atms always have a limit

Colmike9 04-06-2016 07:32 AM

My ATM has a 400 limit for withdraws, same limit for my friend who's pretty rich. But if I go inside, I can get as much as I want..

PR_Glen 04-06-2016 08:24 AM

has there ever not been limits on atm withdrawals?

I remember the time when I could withdraw 20k through ATM off an Epassporte card.

And if there wasn't enough cash in the ATM, Mr. Mallick would deliver the remainder. :winkwink:

All it takes is a phone call to get these raised. My main bank account raised this to $2500 per day.

Yes, but not all at once, maybe 20 transactions of 1k ?:2 cents:

FUCK ... WOW !!!

ITraffic 04-06-2016 12:24 PM

The bank has capped daily ATM withdrawals at $1,000 for non-customers.

every bank and atm has limits. why do you blindly post this bullshit all day?

crockett 04-06-2016 12:31 PM

So why not keep all your money in a jar under your grandma's front porch?

Penny24Seven 04-06-2016 02:04 PM

I've always had a 400 dollar a day limit on one card I collect deposits on so today I just go to walmart and use that card to put money on 3 other cards, A buy some gum 4 times and get 100 cash back each time LOL, than hit the ATM with each card for 400 and when all is said and done I have 2K in my pocket. Yeah it is a pain in the ass and I probably piss away 20 bucks in fees but what can you do. The limit doesn't mean anything really. Well unless I wanted 10K, it would take me a lot longer

and oh yeah I will go buy come cans of coke before I forget

J.P. Morgan Chase?s change last month affects roughly 18,000 automated teller machines nationwide and followed an interim step earlier this year limiting non customer cash removals at $1,000 per transaction

shiraz9944 04-06-2016 02:26 PM

BofA let's you set your limit, you can make it 2k if you want per day and your card spending limit too, it's in the account settings for each seperate account. Yeah you would have to do multiple withdrawals but that has nothing to do with THE account, it's an ATM rule, so I go get 500 then 500more if I want.

Wizzo 04-06-2016 02:28 PM

They aren't talking about the limit on your card, they are talking about the limit on their machines. Many banks have had this for years. If your not a Chase account holder you can only take out $1000 from their ATMs in a single transaction no matter what limit you have from your bank on your card.

so then just perform another withdrawal? what is the issue and if it's that hard, then xfer 1k over to another card you have right there and withdrawal that 1k. ATM's aren't made to completely replace the bank, you need to still go in if you want large sums of money, it only makes sense. What if these card machines they put on were to allow you to withdraw everything, obviously nobody wants that, so they limit what damage can be done. Don't see anything wrong with that.

Relic 04-06-2016 03:14 PM

What they really want to ban is the last vestiges of freedom.

BlueDude 04-06-2016 07:06 PM

That limit is still more than enough for most people to withdraw.

.

Colmike9 04-06-2016 09:23 PM

Good reasons for smaller limits:
1) Lose less money when getting robbed at the ATM
2) Lose less money on late night bad decisions when the bank is closed
3) Lose less money when drunk
4) People will give up on trying to get a hooker or going to a strip club if they're at the limit or close to it, causing them to go home and jerk off, resulting in one of us getting a sale.. :upsidedow

Bad reasons:
1)...No clue

shiraz9944 04-06-2016 09:54 PM

Come on guys, most banks have like 300 or 400 per atm withdrawal, if you need more than that you need to go inside, that's what it's there for. Sure if you're trying to be shady and dn't want the tellers to know you're taking tons out then yeah the system works. I've had SAR's filed on me (Suspicious Activity Reports) for simply wiring money to exoclick or trafficjunky. Once you explain how your biz works, they don't care. They care about money laundering ever since that big HSBC screwup.

Back in the Thumblogger days, I used to walk in the bank with my cargo pockets full of cash, they just pulled out the counting machine and never asked questions or anything close to a SAR.. :winkwink:

shiraz9944 04-06-2016 10:01 PM

I take out 5k to 15k at a time and never had a SAR filed...........the only one was a dude who was rude as hell and I gave him a smartass remark and called him an asshole......my bad that was probably why LOL. But I was also wiring to a foreign bank that's why.

Often you set your own limit - it's for your protection.

Guess you missed this one. Its old news..... most depositors are now unsecured creditors to a bank (particularly in Europe). It means if the bank fails, they can take your money just like they did in Cyprus. Its happened and is happening all over the world:

Some ATMS say the amount has to be dividable by 20..... I stopped using ATMs after that...They must be fucking retarded if they think I'm going to share my withdrawals with 20 people :mad: Beware of that scam :2 cents:
