Too soon to tell but the look and feel of the movie look spot on. My understand is this is all happening before A New Hope.

I stopped it as soon as I saw Forrest Whitaker. Who is he supposed to be? Jedi Lazy Eye? I'm a huge fan of Star Wars, but this might be too much. I'll stick to the new ones (VIII and IX), and maybe catch this OnDemand.

My understanding is that this movie is the story of how the Rebels got the plans for the original Death Star. I'm so excited for it! :)

That was my thought also.

This installment looks good. Hopefully it's a more serious approach to the series/story with more drama and less kitsch.

The reddit nerds are saying darth Vader is at the height of his power in this movie. A total nadass killing machine. Apparently there is a battlefield scene where he rips through people like a tornado in a corn field.

I'm not that into Star Wars these days, but I'm disappointed that this is a prequel. I thought we were moving forward. We already know the outcomes of what happens between 1-7.

I think it looks great! Can't wait to see it.. Bought Force Awakens this tue on blu ray and it's just as good at home as it was at the theater.. Glad they aren't doing jar jar's anymore.. I can deal with women in star Wars cause they were always major parts of SW with Leia and Queen Amidala.. And I think Rey is Luke Skywalker's daughter..

The fucking greed of Disney. They just can't wait to get Darth Vader back on the big screen.

Forget story, forget quality, just find a way to revive Darth Vader.

After about 5 years from now when Disney saturates the market with so many new Star Wars films, the magic will be gone and then Disney won't stop pushing it until there is a weekly Star Wars TV series on a major prime time network. Then it will be an embarrassment to be a Star Wars fan.

Disney is going to grind Star Wars into the ground. 5 to 8 years from now, easily.

Call it what you want but I myself am happy to go watch Star Wars as long as it's good.. :2 cents:

Say what you want about Disney, i just wish they took over the franchise earlier before Lucas made those 3 horrific prequels.

I'd like to have seen what Disney would have done with them instead...
