Well I hook up my HDMI laptop into the front HDMI port on my surround receiver from time to time but it's not about that. It's about Ruko taking Porn hub mainstream and supporting these thieves :321GFY

HDMI cable plugged from my PC to my TV, a wireless keyboard and i can watch any video online on my TV for the past 12 years already, i think i first did that in 2004...

Is Roku available in any country or is this a US TV application?

You can stream a video from any tube site with an iPhone to AppleTV using Airplay, this has been possible for awhile now. So go get your :jerkoff on.

why does everyone in this thread say the same thing over and over.. Yes I get that there are tons of ways to watch internet porn on your tv.. Hell back in 98' my first PC had a ATI all in one TV tuner so I watched tv on my pc.. But the whole point is Roku is making porn tubes acceptable while mainstream shuns the Real people that make the porn.

The only thing that surprises me is that this took so long to happen.

It's a logical move, YouTube is on all the set top boxes and plug in dongles as are a multitude of other video sharing services such as Vimeo. Why would Pornhub or any big tube be expected to be any different ?

The only hurdle is reaching the large installed base of Apple TV customers.

I suspect that Apple will have to come up with a way to allow adult on it's Apple TV platform or it will be left behind because Pornhub won't be the first and last to do this.

Nah they should just read sections 6, 8 & 14b of the Roku private app channel agreement ( http://www.roku.com/Libraries/Legal/Roku_Channel_Developer_Agreement.sflb.ashx )

Evidenty Roku doesn't like being served 2257 takedowns from content served via Roku apps and they'll pull the app and the apps developer credentials.

Section 14b vi. is particulary interesting in regards for their grounds on pulling an app:

"if Developer ceases to offer, or loses its right to offer, all or any part of the Content;"

Section 8 B iv. is very clear:

"Contain forged headers or manipulated identifiers that disguise the origin of any Content." Pornhub still uses expiring tokened URL's for content right?

If you look at the agreement they have to sign to become an app / private channel developer, it's also a content license agreement, just look at the title.

We ran Fetishopolis.com for years - and the only content that went up there was original material I shot. Those magical 'users' with tons of content to share never showed up to the party, surprisingly.

Just came across this article RE: Roku apps being banned for distributing unlicensed content:

Evidently all it takes is one content owner, who's content is being distributed without their permission on a Roku app/private chanel , to request the offending app be killed, and it will be.

It will be heavily curated to avoid this. They will want to push people to their computers so they can enter credit cards etc.
