Now is the time to uninstall Flash (seriously)
Flash is on the decline, but now you have a good reason to actually uninstall it - permanently.
There have been several dozen nasty vulnerabilities patched in Flash over the past six months and more keep arising all the time, almost daily.
This most recent exploit is actually being used already in the wild and if you don't update or uninstall flash then you could have ransomware reach your system through Flash. You won't know it's hit you until all your files are encrypted.
Quote:
Adobe has released security updates for Adobe Flash Player for Windows, Macintosh, Linux and ChromeOS. These updates address critical vulnerabilities that could potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system.
Adobe is aware of reports that CVE-2016-1019 is being actively exploited on systems running Windows 10 and earlier with Flash Player version 20.0.0.306 and earlier.
