Vaping - what's the latest/best units out there?

Been vaping a few years now, but my current Innokin MVP is startin' to show its age and giving me issues.

So I'm looking to replace it with a new upgrade...but I haven't kept up with current makes/models.

A year or two back the Provari's were considered best by many.

What's the current Cadillac of vaping these days?

The 50w temp control mod I have from Vapor Fi is really good.
Also, they have the best eJuice from what I've tested so far, and I happen to have a small blog selling it. :upsidedow
Vapor Juice | Awesome delicious eJuice flavors and premium brands in many different nicotine levels to choose from!

I see Vapor Fi is primarily U.S.-based...no local stores for us north of the border. Kinda' hopin' to go bricks 'n mortar store shopping rather than purchasing online.

Good-lookin' units, though...and good specs. :thumbsup

I have a rather large box of units I have tried and will not use. Probably $1K in there.

I found the most versatile and low cost of operation with the best results is a Kangerteck Sub-Box Mini.

Here is what I needed to say such a thing.

Instantly replaceable batteries. (charge many up before leaving house)

Rebuild-able coil units. They come with a kit but you can buy extras so you always have a spare ready. Keeps it cheap since you can buy a 5 pack of coils with cotton for about 3/4 bucks.
I keep extra sub-tank mini's with me on the go to change flavor or have enough.

Also, I have used this longer than any other so the quality has been the best yet.

So unless you are some extreme vape type, don't screw around, go for the good stuff from the start.

I just use them to stay off the cig's.

So that is my advice along with extra bat's and a extra tank.

If you're trying to quit, it works well. I honestly smoked around 3-6 hookahs/day by myself while working on websites. Since I started vaping around Halloween, though, I haven't touched one hookah.

To save a lot of money, though, build your own coils. 100ft of kanthal and decent pack of cotton is $10 for me as opposed to tank cartridges which sell 5 for around $20-25. Rebuildable lasts a lot longer, you can make different kinds of coils depending on how you feel like vaping and uses less ejuice. I still have my original roll of kanthal, too, and makes around 100-200 coils depending if you double wrap or not.

If you're on the go a lot, though, and don't feel like opening your RDA all the time to redrip it, then a tank would be better. Or get both. :upsidedow

Don't use nickel unless you have a temp mod and know what you're doing, though..

I can make signs with mine, too. :upsidedow

Thanks to ya'll for the advice and input.

Just picked up a 200w Sigelei Fuchai sub-ohm unit (yeah, didn't really want sub-ohm, but when I tried it in the store...I was hooked :1orglaugh). The flavour and throat hit is SO much better. And it has temperature control mode, too.

Love the ergonomics of the battery - kinda' heavy, but not overly. The salesguy threw in about $100 bucks worth of additional tanks, liquid, coils, etc. - and was extremely informative and helpful.

So now I'm makin' big clouds like the big boys. :1orglaugh

Naw, makin' my own coils is a little beyond what I want to do...at least for now. Prices aren't too bad around here for a 5-pac, I can live with it. I'm not into fiddlin' with rolls of coil wire and cotton, even if it saved me a little.

Same for ejuice - I remember watchin' a YT vid by some guy on DIY ejuice. The trouble he went to just seemed more than I wanted to get involved with - even though he apparently saved himself a s**tload of coin by mixing his own.

Has anyone made coils out of titanium? I'm curious to how well it works and some people say the taste is better. You have to wrap it differently, too.

I've only used kanthal so far except for temp control cartridges. I know that if I use nickel, though, that I'll end up getting high and forgetting to turn it to temp mode and poison myself.. :upsidedow

Yeah, stayin' off the cigs is always my goal also. I'm not into the vape culture/style pretense...just want somethin' that works best for me.

I've got 3 tanks to work with on the new Sigelei unit...so that'll be good (1 sub-ohm, 2 non-sub-ohm).

Yeah, I'm a nerd and built robots and many things on perf board before webmastering, so I like playing around with coils. :upsidedow

About ejuice, though, be safe and buy your own.

There are literally 100 shops in Buffalo and Niagara Falls. It took me 10 minutes to cross the border last week.

My friend owns a massive chain on the south coast of Britain. I can probably get you some deals :thumbsup

True.

But I prefer keepin' it local - supporting our local canuck establishments these days.
