Anybody have racing wheels for gaming?
OK I'm thinking about picking this gaming wheel for my PS3 today and if I like it I might finally get around to getting the PS4 or PS4.5 coming soon.. Also would like to get the whole racing chair for around $400 but don't want to blow $600 on a wheel and seat till I know if I'll like it enough..
Here's the one I'm thinking about buying from amazon for $150 here is the chair I want if I like the wheel.. Amazon.com: Openwheeler Racing Wheel Stand Cockpit Blue/Black | For Logitech G29 | G920 and Logitech G27 | G25 | Thrustmaster Wheels | Racing wheel & controllers NOT included: Video Games I'm not even sure this is what I'm going to buy but I was going to buy something from amazon today and from time to time I think about how I never game on my PS3 anymore.. I like racing games.. Anybody have cool setups they want to share or ideas? I'll be back in a few hours after I run to town |
I have the Thustmaster wheel for my PS3 and works fine with Nascar. Haven't much time to try it extensively, but I guess it works as good with any 'car' game... :)

Well it looks like I'll shop around after I get some sleep cause this seemed like a good deal but the wait is BS.. Amazon.com: Thrustmaster VG T150 Force Feedback Racing Wheel for PlayStation 4: Video Games Quote:

Save your money and rent a super car at the track for a day. Unless you're in a hydraulic chair that throws some G's at you and moves around, sitting there turning a wheel instead of using a controller gets boring real quick.

No, awsd.

I used to use a Thrustmaster all the time with GT5 until the servers were turned off and I didn't feel like getting another GT until 7 comes out. But it works really well, just be sure you have somewhere to mount it and enough leg room for the pedals.

Well I didn't buy that today and I bought something else but maybe later this summer I'll buy one.. all the places that had it in stock wanted $300 for a $150 wheel. lol I remember having a cheap wheel back when PS 1 came out and I use to sit in front of my 32" tv. One night I got home from the bar way too drunk to drive but I wanted to race. I had the steering wheel on my lap and I turned really hard and the wheel flew out of my hands onto the floor. My roommate said the look on my face was too funny. :1orglaugh |
I am using Logitech Momo Racing and 50 inch screen, but can't remember when was the last time I had time to have fun with this.

I had an old one that I played with for many years. I ended up giving it away but the wheel worked really well, and no parts, even the peddles etc ever wore out or died. Good product.

I have this one for my 360 and although it is very cool to use, i fucking HATE the pedals. Its a pain to adjust and keep from moving. I'd love it to be able to work with the steering bar shift up/down things, since i use manual shift anyway. Cannot use it without pedals, I'd look for something that at least has the option.

GT5 vs GT6?
I love GT5, seemed faster/better framerate, but I only played that GT6 Nissan promo demo that they had online for a while. Has anyone played through both and recommend one over the other? :upsidedow |

I used to have a controller for my PS2 that looked just like a RC car controller. Wheel on the front, trigger for gas/brakes and buttons for shifting.
I loved that controller. I've tried wheels with pedals but its more trouble than its worth in my opinion. Nobody seems to make the other type of controller anymore. |
