One of the best Chernobyl documentary I've seen so far. Even the actor faces are so close to the originals.

Tragic what happened .......

this is a pretty good overview of the new confinement dome that is being erected and will be put over the disaster spot in 2017.
it's my understanding the entire region is uninhabitable for humans for another 10,000 years |

I hope Russia did the families of those men right. |
I'd love to rummage around there, if it didn't make my teeth fall out. I am fascinated by the wildlife situation there:

Short Doc about mapping the area and using it as a VR game / experience |
30 years ago today. a tragedy of insane proportions.
some solid additions to this thread, nice! i've been collecting some links and such since i've gotten somewhat obsessed with learning about the event and more. i'm mobile atm and will post those links shortly. |

ok, this is badass and reason enough to snag a some vr goggles! and if i understood him correctly, the entire zone will be razed within the coming years? i'm going to have to look into that because a trip to Chernobyl is on my to-do list. Pripyat has to be surreal! |

was going to post this one. this is by far the best most comprehensive doc on the tragedy i've watched, and i've watched a metric shit ton of them. it's really really good about the event, nothing about the 30 years after, which is equally important, but for in-depth on the event, this one excels, it even has interviews with Kruschev! well worth the time. |
Looks scary indeed...
