for natural resources, i think the amount of usable water is very small, and once you get into potable water, it's even less.

Water isn't possible without oxygen.

If you say People and all living things, then it helps narrow things down : Clean Air, Clean Water, Food, Atmosphere, Energy is what comes to mind.

No living thing can live without all of the above, except for those weird extremophiles or whatever they are called that live near sulphur vents and the like.

The sun isn't an earth resource.

obviously the question pertains to what's valuable for human survival. planet earth doesn't need any resources to exist and the op certainly isn't worry about tadpoles or three-toes sloths or the metals required to assemble an iphone.
