Is Anyone Here Using an Older Router than this Bad Boy?

The longest I think I've had one was 3 years, my routers however average around a 2 year lifespan.

I love using old stuff, but not this time though

Some old dlinks had upnp security vulnerabilities that didn't get patched. Always a good idea to get rid of old tech that handles your security.

I just ordered a barebones Linux htpc unit to turn into a router based on a DIY tutorial I found online.

why reinvent ?

Never had any luck with making a router last longer then a couple of years. As stated, a new one feels faster every time.
