How do you handle sponsor DMCA notices?
I have one sponsor and 1 only that occasionally DMCA's us. Just one link every 2-3 months but they do not do it to the URL, they do it to the TAG.
They only send DMCA to Google. They do not bother sending to us, host or anyone else. They've admitted their mistakes but I cannot get them to retract. I might not be so pissed off if it was to a single post but they only do it to tags. Any recourse? Its hard to drop them as we make money with them in several programs. They are a massively huge program. |
Is it playboy or chaturbate?

you just gotta work out if the roi is still worth it. I'm assuming they use a 3rd party, I just gave up pushing those ones if all I got was a bunch of dmcas every x weeks or months, unless the sales outweighed the aggro.

We had a model, she had problems with ex boyfriends, her child & social, all because she had been escorting & done some porn movies for us, all 2257 signed. We took down the previews from the front page, removed her name from the tours. This slightly more personal, as we knew the girl. However, sometimes, to help a situation & create less stress means to change a few tags, seems simple enough :thumbsup |
Are you a tube site and are stealing content ? Say it is not so:1orglaugh

In general, they are nice enough.
We are blogs posting photos with banners back to their sites. They are worth it. They are one of the few in their niche who actually do the shooting. Its the best content going. They did have a third party. A Canukian. Total disaster. This guy has till not met his ass and his elbow and is confused about the whole process. On top of that his company name infringes upon a George Lucas trademark. lol. They finally got rid of him and now the content company handles the dmcas. Google is also a bit confused about it. We have to explain it and walk them through the counter DMCAs so they can follow link A to B to C. What is not ok is that Google is checking fewer and fewer pages on the blogs. Some are 10 years old. Meanwhile Bing and others are scanning 10 times, sometimes, 20,000 pages. No matter what Google says, once they get one on your site, they seem to hit the off switch. These are also not native English speakers but they are US based. I hope we can work it out. We do high xx,xxx a year with them on all lines of business. |
