Last 12 Hours Amerinoc Down & counting....
 
We are now in 13th hour and no response from Amernioc except twitter update with no ETA... This is unacceptable that such a big host with no telephone to contact.... When email system down there is no way to contact them.....

Agreed, 100%.

I really like Chris, he is the reason I stayed all this time, but this really makes me think of running the other way.

But, to be able to move shit, you need access to your data. :/

Chris and Mike W are the best in Amernioc. I just dialed amerinoc number and at the end recorded message came up that we are experience network outage and we are working it thank for your patience.

Yeah as a 13 year customer of them I hope things turn around really soon and they reach out and make things right..

But then there is my gut that feels this is the end and I need to start looking for a new host..

I feel the same. Been with them for a long long time, too.
With a short switch to the winners at Webair.

Mike and Chris are what kept it going, but this looks/feels indeed like the end.

Here is the latest,

Based on everything I have been told by Amerinoc, power to the servers never went down, so servers never went hard down, which is when we have issues with data loss. The servers are all still powered on and running, this is 100% a network down issue.....

The only backup i have is stat with Amerinoc i definitely need something else as a backup

How are you communicating with AmeriNOC? The number connected to their WHOIS information leads nowhere.

In their defense, they are probably scrambling and doing what they can. My friend is a Linux system admin and support for a large Brasilian-Dutch company and this type of stuff is hell for them. I remember when OVH for me was down for hours upon hours. It was due to a car snapping a line after it had crashed into a fiber optic line and another outage because of snow (from what I can remember.)

You can't have all your sites on one place and mainly back them up on Dropbox or somewhere else. My Wordpress sites go to Dropbox regularly.

It sucks. I know. I don't use them but it's understandable that you're also losing money. I have a lot of Wordpress sites that make MySQL crash. I had to migrate sites over to a new server and of course nothing ever works 100%

a real host, you don't hear rackspace, or softlayer, wiredtree, liquidweb those types of hosts going down for times this long........isprime another example and mojohost. REAL hosts. m3server included. If you want ultimate go amazon and spin up an instance there, it redundant all over the world, one goes down another up to replace it. But they are a bit pricey.
