Who to use for ftp backup?

I need to be able to backup my sites once per month via ftp.

AllAboutCams 04-23-2016 07:07 AM

Does amazon offer something like this?

Why once per month and why via FTP?

We just rolled out a new backup system for our clients. Daily backups direct from server, storing for a 6 month cycle. If interested, shoot me an ICQ at 147479144 and we can get you started Monday.

We used to use hard drives back in the day. Clouds would be the best option today, plus backups on Hard Drives. Never trust your job to an outsider.

Try Amazon S3
Amazon Simple Storage Service

It's great for storing backups

OVH Public Cloud is good, reliable and well priced.

Do you have a managed hosting account?
If so you can just ask your host to set it up.

I understand, but the host can still set that up for you as well if it's a managed host.
You just give them the s3 account info and what you want backed up and they should be able to set it all up for you.

any encrypted solutions in cloud ?
what do you think about storing some tar.gz (backup of your server) files that basically contain all host and Databases info ? I know that sensitive files like passwords are encrypted anyway, but..... wouldnt be hard to hack it ?
