Are Children Stupid?

In my day to day life I meet a lot of children, the average age is under 2 - around 6 years old and I get the impression they know a nothing.

You and me are like two peas in a pod. We are both as stupid as each other, along with CPA-RUSH.

I heard somewhere that they can't grasp the concept of death until they're like 11-12 years old.

I like that I can tell my boys anything and they totally believe it.
My oldest and second son are totally convinced we are eating dinosaur steaks. :)
The butcher started it by telling them the ribs were brontosaurus ribs, and I kept it going by buying Trex steaks. Now we eat Trex steaks all the time....lol

It is funny because I hear him telling his cousins about it as well, and they seem to buy it also. :)

Only his software is and always has been top notch. People who use it agree.

I spend A LOT of time with my own children and meet several others every day, KNOW dozens from age of 3-4 to ~10-12 and children, in general, are Fantastic! They are smart, kind, full of love and most of them do lack the characteristics I hate in adults. They are open minded and receptive, love to learn and are interested in each other and the adults in their environment.

I have to admit that not all kids are the same, but I believe this is not because of them: it's because of shitty parents and shitty adults/teachers/whatever surrounding/raising them.

My kids go to the local Waldorf school, and I know and have a decent relationship with most kids in the pre-school where my younger one goes and the same is true for most of the students in the school where my older daughter goes [from 1st to 4th grade kids]

Earlier today I was behind a senior citizen on a freeway on ramp who thought it was best to get on the freeway at 30 mph.

What motivates you do carry out this campaign of stupidity? Are you a comedy genius experimenting with a long running prank, or just some lonely soul crying for help? I'm betting its the latter.

my neice is 2 and knows about 40 words in sign language. once you get the signs you realize there is so much going on in their than previously believed. are they stupid? no. are they naive? credulous? in need of daily guidence, of course. but try to think back to a time when you were that innocent and haven't even been on the earth long enough to have malice or any type of diberate anti social behavior. they have none of that.

Little humans are amazing but are so undeveloped at birth, totally helpless for years - compare that to a dog - within 8 weeks he's a man on the move. Human brains are indescribably complex, continuously developing our intricate neural circuitry right up until young adulthood - until recently it was scientific dogma that the human brain was a finished product by our late teens, now there's evidence that it's still developing into our late 20's.

A smart dog is more useful and as intelligent as a 4 year old they say. Of course children are learning new things rapidly even though we don't realize it all the time, suddenly you see a talented 6 or 7 year old playing a musical instrument or playing a sport and it's 'WTF!' jaw dropping when it seemed like just yesterday they were clumsy, dopey and the smallest thing could cause a complete emotional meltdown.
